Don't be fooled by the name
I tested GDW yesterday and must say I am very pleasantly surprised. It is a pleasant fragrance but the name is deceptive. It's definitely not the winter version of Golden Decade. GDW should have come out first and been called GD. The current GD should be GDW
GD is sweeter and heavier than GDW and is more suitable for winter, while GDW is lighter.
I have to say that I find GD beautiful, but when it dries down the fragrance develops into a very pungent scent (screechy). I don't have that with GDW.
If someone is looking for a cheaper version of Ysl Libre, he or she should give GDW a try. It doesn't come close to the original, but it's a good alternative.
Shelf life and sillage weren't too bad for me. i got 6 hours out of it. That's okay for a 25 euro fragrance.
