A Day in the Orange Grove

This is sitting under a orange tree in early spring and the orange blossoms have just bloomed. Their fragrance fills the air and you are drinking a punchy citrus beverage. Its so tart that you feel it in your cheeks, it hasn't been sweetened and that is how you like it. You lay back in the bright green grass and enjoy the feeling of the sun peaking through the leaves of the tree while you relax. Its a nice and well made fragrance but it doesn't really stand out from other petitgrain/citrus fragrances that are on the market.

This fragrance has some aromatic qualities, creating a close scent bubble. It also lasted about 4 hours on my skin. There are two sizes available starting at 9ml for $54 and a 30ml for $145.

Great expansion on the original Five, more modern and cool-weather-friendly

Sampling one of the more recent releases from Fzotic / Bruno Fazzolari, Five Squared, a re-envisioning of one of his original releases, Five, with a greater focus on the orange blossom note at its center, along with amber, incense, neroli, oakmoss, and tonka, a great blend of natural freshness, resinous qualities, sweetness, and spice. The original Five from a decade ago has more of the air of a traditional cologne, whereas Five Squared is stronger, more modern, and a bit more apt for cooler weather (while also being fresh), really an outstanding and versatile blend, on par with the original Five in terms of how much I like it.

Five Squared is priced at $145 for 30ml in EDP concentration, consistent with the rest of the line, and is sold through the house website, Ministry of Scent, Luckyscent, and other boutiques in the US.
