Extremely odd and I love it
I know this is marketed and discussed as a floral gourmand, but boy is this one strange for me (and in the best way, as I love strange frags). While I get an initial lilac burst in the beginning, I wouldn't describe this one as overly floral like one might expect a lilac-forward frag to be. It's floral powderiness remains present throughout, but I'm not getting the heady spring blooms that I'm seeing others describe. And I also don't get a sticky sweet gourmand from this either. The first few minutes to me read almost like a hint of lilac with a hint of something dessert like, but mostly whatever this combo is, reads to me more like something akin to dusty burnt wires. Annnd...I'm kinda digging it. I can't even explain why, but I keep coming back to this frag and its strangeness. 5-10 min in, the marzipan does come out and the fragrance turns a bit sweeter, but I definitely do not get a rich sweet gourmand or a punchy floral from this frag. There's a lot of nuance here. I haven't smelled anything like it and I'm continuously intrigued by the complexity of this one and the journey it takes me on.

Not what I expected
I'm confused by this one. This smells like a tobacco bomb and yet, there's no tobacco note. I happen to like tobacco notes, but I can only imagine what a diehard gourmand lover would think when they spray this after seeing notes of marzipan, tonka, whipped cream, rhubarb...

It's giving cinnamon tobacco sweetness. Very strange. I like it, but was hoping for something cool with the lilac note and didn't really get it.

Marzipan cookie w/ a whisper of lilac
I have to preface this by saying I do not prefer gourmands. I do, however, love lilac, so I really wanted to try this one.

Unfortunately, the lilac did not come through at the start. The rhubarb was very acidic on my skin, verging on sour. That acidity sat on top of the cookie accord for a long time. And when I say cookie, I mean an almond cookie with almond frosting and almonds on top. It was sweet, sweet marzipan, and that sweetness was cloying to me, personally.

The dry down became much more pleasant. The vanilla began to shine with the patchouli, and I finally felt like I could smell some of that lilac coming through.

In the end, it became a very familiar scent. Like a lotion or candle from long ago that you will never remember the name of. I do think it is a vanilla almond scent before it is a lilac scent, and for that reason, it wasn't a win for me. But it's definitely a win for someone out there!

So weird but so good
This comes dangerously close to diaper territory, but somehow manages to pull off powdery, creamy, and floral together without going full-on poopoo. It feels so clean, like I just got out of the shower, but wrapped in a big fluffy robe and also it's kinda hot outside so the robe is making me a little sweaty.
.
The mimosa and rhubarb give it a light twang to elevate the powdery aspects. Cream, vanilla, and tonka add an addictive gourmand base without making things too sweet. I think the lack of sweetness is part of the reason it's not entirely poopy pants. The notes in this one twine together so well, which gives such an interesting scent experience. Sometimes I'll get lilac as the star, sometimes tonka, sometimes rhubarb, even the cinnamon pops out every once in a while!
.
Definitely sample-worthy if you're a gourmand lover who wants something interesting for spring time, or if you, like me, are becoming more adventurous when it comes to note combinations.

Edible Lilacs
This feels like spring is here. Lilacs are blooming, the sky is clear and the day is warm while you sit on the grass amongst the flowers eating a creme brulee. This is a creative gourmand that is combines it's creaminess with green and floral notes. Almost as if your dessert is decorated with edible flowers in that they add a little something extra to the star of the show. This fragrance is really good but there was something a little off in the depths of this fragrance, a weird starch-ness to the fragrance. I hate to say it, but that starch I was picking up reminded me of opening a box of instant mash potatoes. It wasn't strong but it was noticable enough to distract me from fully enjoying this fragrance. The starch faded after a few hours but it lasted long enough that I cannot fall in love with this fragrance.

This fragrance has some floral lift for the first hour or two but mainly its a sweet skin scent. It is long lasting, over 8 hours on my skin even after I washed the area. There are two sizes and prices available starting at 9ml for $58 and 30ml for $145. Fairly pricey but if you can't detect that starchy-ness like I can, then this is definitely a unique and creative enough scent that it would be worth the price.

The way this melts into my skin is amazing. Such a beautiful, creamy, tart scent with lilac sitting on top. Need a full bottle asap.

Fragrance is subjective, but this is so good I cannot conceive of others disliking it. A marzipan sweet, lightly floral spring gourmand.

I don't know why, but this smells almost identical to Lost Cherry to me. There's no cherry or almond notes listed, so that's confusing.

The opening lilac note is beautiful but the subsequent overally synthetic wood/amber accord is not my jam. A more natural dry down please!

The description sounds lovely and I wish more of the floral sweetness came through for me—on my skin it settled into a sharp cedar

Definitely pretty, but very underwhelming. I am a lilac snob and this just didn't do it for me

Marzipan-rhubarb crumb cake with cinnamon. It's delicious... Of course, the lilac bouquet on the table is a must!
