Best of the house so far, a sweet, fruity, slightly floral oud
Sampling Jousset Parfums Ramdan Night, a 2020 release consisting of spices, sweets, fruits, and a bit of oud, and perhaps even a slight floral touch. It’s rich, somewhat delicious, and also dark and oud-laden, albeit without a particularly medicinal or animalic vibe, which is fine, as it keeps the experience from being not too edgy, making it quite wearable. I really love this from the start, and it reminds me of some offerings from Roja, MFK, and other houses that very artfully blend oud and sweet elements.
Ramdan Night is priced at $95 for 50ml, in extrait concentration, and sold in the US via Luckyscent and Sealed Essence. It performs excellently and is among the more modest-priced entries in the house, and is among my very favorites of the house that I’ve tried so far. While I’m not looking to have an abundance of sweet oud fragrances, personally, I think this has the utility, performance, and overall quality to make me considering buying a full bottle.
