Tabac Mystique, a floral cloven treat
Not for those seeking a traditional tabac, but instead a more cloven alternative. Underpinned by creamy, blooming bouquets of ylang, frangipani, ginger lily & styrax and hidden depths of vanilla & honey beneath. Gurjun balsam imparts a warm woodiness while oakmoss provides a plush bed for the blend to sink down into, creating a most calm and comforting drydown…
Although there’s no cloves listed, there seems to be some eugenol or a similar aromachemical present from one or some of the ingredients, perhaps the styrax, for as one of the reviews below also mentions the cloven aspect is among the most prominent in profile. Which, being a clovaholic, is part of the reason I followed through on it, but just to be forewarned.
For more traditional tabacs, I find Mythique and Burniss—shoutout to Eric from Havenhollow for being a super swell dude—both very hard to beat. And as far as unorthodox tabacs go, while I don’t find this profile to be quite the most unique, it’s certainly not without it’s charm.
