Almost my favorite tea fragrance work
I currently have four One Day tea-themed fragrances: Jasmine Tea, Oolong Tea, Pu’er Tea, and Osmanthus Tea.
Among them, Pu’er Tea reminds me the most of Darjeeling Zero—both carry a subtle smoky nuance. The opening has a fleeting burst of freshness and tartness, likely from bergamot, but it quickly gives way to a deeper accord of mild sweetness, honey, Lapsang Souchong, and black tea. Of course, there's more going on than just that—what lingers in the air is a gentle, sweet aroma that seems to be lifted by a warm, woody base.
As I was browsing the note breakdown and later read a review by Chris, it all made sense: the tea leaves were smoked with pinewood, lending the scent its distinctive resinous woodiness. The fragrance is relatively linear—faithfully maintaining that beautiful tea-and-wood harmony until it fades. Longevity is around 5 to 6 hours.
This is probably one of my top five favorite tea scents ever. And because it’s a limited edition, I use it sparingly. One Day’s blending skill is genuinely impressive.
