Citruses on a bed of black and pink peppers

It starts out like a slightly sweet and soapy lemon like the one I've smelled before in "Luna | Penhaligon's". It's very mild, but also refreshing and pleasing to the senses. Fragrance becomes more spicy as time passes. Pink and black pepper become a bit stronger than the citrus accord. I can also detect a hint of tea in the background that stops the scent from becoming too fruity and too spicy while adding a green twist to it. It's pretty well-balanced and overall the fragrance smells chic and sophisticated. Unfortunately, the spiciness of it makes me feel like it's more masculine-leaning. I'd see my boyfriend wearing it during spring and summer.

The sillage is abyssmal on my skin (becomes a skin-scent after 10 minutes) and the longevity seems to wane faster than i thought it would. Overall it's lovely, yes, but the price is pretty steep if you consider the fact that there are similar citrusy colognes out there with better longevity.

Very nice

Cologne Cédrat is aromatic, spicy and green, but a note plays with my imagination and makes this fragrance quite sexy too. It reminds me of a fragrance I have tried not long ago, it might even be an undertone that I usually find in Imaginary Authors fragrances, but Cologne Cédrat has nowhere near the same uniqueness and quirkiness that Imaginary Authors has. I do appreciate this fragrance's linear composition, though. Simplicity is sometimes the key.

On paper, Cologne Cédrat is far more fresh and invigorating. It almost smells like vervain. It remains just as delicious after dry down and oxidation, whereas on skin, the fragrance loses its masculine and spicy quality.

Immediately after spraying Cologne Cédrat on myself, I reached for my partner's wrist, I just had to smell it on a man. On him, the fragrance is deep and remains masculine. No questions asked, this little sample is his!

My first experience with a Matiere Premiere fragrance has me very excited for the fragrances ahead! Cologne Cédrat is a wonderful aromatic citrus that performs best on the masculine side.

Oh, a 5L bottle please

This is one of those perfumes which stays under the radar, almost invisible in the samples box until one day you get bored, apply and BOOM: it changes everything.

I am a big fan of Matiere Premiere because most of all, they put a lot of accent on the quality of the ingredients and after that on the creation themselves.

When you hear Radical Rose, Falcon Leather or Encens Suave .. you know what´s up, but Cologne Cedrat .. seems like an attempt to create a green freshie for the summer, without much hope to be considered a sales success.

My friends, that is not the case with this scent: It is awesome, absolutely awesome !!

It starts citrussy, with a fair amount of lemon and bergamot and you think, yeah .. it has a catchy top note to steal your nose, then it will become a "nothing" right away. Well, after almost one hours from spraying it it still perfoms and pushes the mouth watering lemon out and around you .. with quite a force.

This is not normal for a freshie green lemon smell to be so powerful, what sorcery has Aurelien Guichard used here, I wonder. The spicy pepper might uplift the whole scent a bit and the mathe is as good as non existing, but for some reason .. I keep smelling my arm again and again.

Aurelién my friend, you have offered to me the best olfactory surprise of 2022 so far.

Nice modern cologne - unfortunately far too expensive

Really pleasant modernized lemon cologne. I really don't get lemon cleaner associations at all. Classically soapy in the drydown. The fragrance actually lasts quite a while on me. In my opinion, however, the price is simply not justifiable given its simplicity. Unfortunately, the Matiere Premiere has not particularly convinced me (so far). With the YouTube hype, I would have expected more.
