Props go out to the composition
I can't avoid the following associations: Powidl (i.e. plum puree), Feuerzangenbowle and the spice sachet that belongs in every basic sauce.
As crazy as the mixture of scents is, I can really recognize almost all of them - unfortunately I don't know Davana. I also detect a pronounced alcoholic note - could indeed be rum. It is also slightly smoky in the background.
Depending on the day, laurel and leather are also sometimes very present.
Becomes a lot rounder in the dry down, woods and tea take over.
For me as a Xerjoff fanboy, the H/S is rather below my requirements.
However, I only see Ruy Lopez as an "experience fragrance" rather than an "everyday fragrance".
To sum up, I still find it highly astonishing and admirable how a very well-rounded and excellently balanced composition has been created from what I consider to be a wild combination of individual fragrance notes. Applause, applause.
