Lovely floral brioche
I'm quite sure that this has a brioche note, even though it's not listed on Parfumo. This perfume unfortunately seems to be out of production, so I couldn't find it on the Mugler website anymore, but they still have the matching candle that is advertised as an "irresistible floral brioche accord".
I love brioche, so I was extremely curious for a perfume with this note. Wonder Bouquet did not disappoint! It really has that sweet, milky, slightly grainy note. Maybe it doesn't smell 100% like a real brioche, but definitely recognizable. Together with the lovely florals it doesn't come across as gimmicky, but as a beautiful gourmand perfume.
I think the most prominent flower here is orange blossom, followed by a soft, fresh, non-screechy lily of the valley.
The jasmine note here is slightly similar to that in Alien, especially in the drydown, but the overall impression is quite different. Wonder Bouquet is more floral, softer, cleaner and smoother, it neither has the woodsy and ambery base of Alien, nor the same radiant, otherworldly effect.
Vanilla and a touch of honeyed beeswax create a warm, enveloping backdrop for the white florals and blend nicely with the brioche note. I don't get any nutty notes here, but that's fine, it's a gorgeous scent as it is.
Recommended to anyone who likes sweetened white florals and wants something more sophisticated and interesting than the typical sugary tuberose and jasmine bombs that are everywhere at the moment.
