Top tier earthy oud-leather
The Voice of the Snake is one of those that isn’t necessarily innovative or ultra-unique but has instead taken an existing genre/DNA to its pinnacle. I see it as a combination of the rose/oud/ambrocenide of Ombre Nomade/Nouveau Monde , the woody earthy notes of Guilty Absolute pour Homme, and the dark filthy leather of Le Gemme - Falkar.

A reviewer said in a review of Dark Lord - Ex Tenebris Lux that Alberto Morillas used Guilty Absolute pour Homme as experimentation then perfected that experiment in Dark Lord. I can kind of see that, but I think the perfection was truly achieved one year later in Voice of the Snake. Funnily enough, both Dark Lord and Voice of the Snake have reviewers comparing them to Voldemort. Is it just the names that are inspiring this connection or is there some aromachemical common among these fragrances that is summoning He Who Must Not Be Named?

Because there is absolutely something sinister about Voice of the Snake. Biting leather, deep earth, venomous animalic oud. And no sweetness as the antidote to counteract it. Just all in on these ultra-dark yet sharp notes. Don’t let the “saffron” note fool you. There’s no medicinal spiciness here, it might as well be “leather” in the note pyramid. The oud is not too overwhelming, but it is a similar style to Ombre Nomade, so if you don’t like the oud there, you will probably not like it here. It dries down to a dark, deep, woody, mulchy patchouli. And it is potent! 12 hours on skin for me, and at least 6 of those it is projecting heavily.

I think even retail price is fair here, since this compares favorably with Bvlgari’s private line as well as the midrange of LV’s line in Ombre Nomade, but Voice of the Snake is currently available for $230 on Jomashop which is frankly a steal as far as I’m concerned.

Unapologetic dominant
You will find all sorts of fine analysis on the notes of this perfume. Since I have nothing else to add to those, I'll save you the technical stuff. But I will say that one thing that strikes me about this perfume is that unlike other fragrances that put an effort in balancing notes off and creating a harmony with highs and lows and sharps and smooths, etc. this fragrance is bold and rich. The creators have sort of unapologetically stated it's dominant features, without feeling the need to sugarcoat it with unnecessary hints and notes. That aside, it's one of the most long living perfumes I have ever tried. The more interesting fact is that no matter how long after use, if you can still smell it, you will smell all of it's base, subnotes and features. It's as if all of them attenuate together, which indicates they have been well balanced in the first place.

The Tom Riddle Parfum
What a special perfume and it really is the perfume that Tom Riddle would use, elegant dark and very cold.

It cannot be used indoors with more than 2 sprays.

It is a beast in projection and duration.

It is very worth it and despite being a dark perfume it is not too difficult and its trail is delicious

Snake Sense
Voice-of-the-Snake wearers possess very special sensory organs to ensure their survival.

Snakes, for example, can have varying degrees of visual acuity. Visually interesting in this case is especially the nice presentation of the delivered overall package. In the midst of the finely patterned - protective of the valuable content - packaging lies the heavy porcelain bottle: deep black, artistically ornamented.

Snake wearers absorb scent and taste particles through flicking and their tongue. The sense of smell is particularly well developed in snakes; otherwise, they wouldn't have any of their own bouquet! Through the bifurcation of the tongue, the Gucci snake can spatially orient itself with the information it has gathered. The two tongue tips act like fine measuring devices that can distinguish even the smallest differences in scent molecules: deep shadowy patchouli, serious saffron, and finely cultivated dark woody oud. A pleasing, attractive oud. Equipped this way, they can perceive their surroundings even when their sense of sight is limited. Preferably at night. This is especially important for locating prey animals, but also for escaping potential enemies or even finding partners for reproduction. The scent aura slithers between mystique, the mysterious, and - due to the fine, pure composition blade - enhancing libido. Discreet delicacy throughout the softly smoldering scent progression.

While some senses in snakes are excellently developed, the sense of hearing is quite the opposite: snakes are nearly deaf. They can perceive ground vibrations through their lower jaw. In some species, such as the Voice-of-the-Snake wearers, this means they are not only warned of approaching enemies but can also locate and catch prey at night. The only sound present is the stretched hissing of the snake bottle when spraying the venom - a distinctive spray head, a soft whisper.

Snakes can also detect the smallest temperature fluctuations. Through thermal perception, our snakes can particularly well track warm-blooded fellow humans. This means they can hunt even in complete darkness. However, even during the day, the scent remains discreet and the snake present.

Voice-of-the-Snake wearers are clever, have a keen mind, dislike haste, are interested in the deeper meanings, and remain enigmatic and mysterious (sillage) while being extremely loyal beings (longevity) with an infallible sense for their fellow humans (scent).

The Voice of the Snake is a truly enchanting and simultaneously unconditionally unencumbered, subtly dark, and conspiratorial fragrance. I hereby warn you of its wearers!

Just Another Rose-Saffron-Oud
No! Not at all! No Rose-Saffron-Oud!

After a guided tour through the most beautiful bottles in a small perfumery across the pond, which I had initiated without any ulterior motive by mentioning my preference not only for Penhaligon's scents but also for their containers to the friendly saleswoman, several unsolicited fragrance samples found their way into the little bag, including this relatively new Gucci.
Although I had commented quite favorably on the Gucci bottles of the new series during said tour, my expectations for the scent itself were limited. These low expectations were somewhat confirmed after my test of the rose fragrance from the series yesterday.
This allowed the fragrance to surprise me all the more - positively.
The oud takes center stage and comes without any sweet floral notes, rather harshly, and is supported by quite bitter saffron and deep, dry patchouli as supporting characters. One might think that this combination could be somewhat one-dimensional without a counterpart, but in this case, the interesting part is taken on by the volume. It doesn't storm into the bar, clumsily with baggage, loudly demanding a drink and rudely insulting everyone present, no, it is the stranger with the grim, proud gaze and a threatening aura, who has been sitting alone in the dark corner all evening, silencing the newly arrived intruder with a silent look. This guy knows what he has, and everyone else knows it too, without him having to shout it out loud.
Creaky-dry, bitterly wicked, and yet completely still.
I like it very much!

This is the most versatile and it has the most beautiful bottle out of the three Morillas in this profile. Animalics perfection.

This is NOT for everyone! It stayed on my clothes for days and I loved it, but my friends said I smelled like a zoo.

Not sure why it gets its hype, gives me burned plastic vibes, mixed with tobacco and wet, cold animal leather.

its like being poisoned by a vicious snake, not at all pleasant but still incredibly intense

Dark, yet soft leather with earthy nuances. Oud can be smelled in the base. The name is well chosen because of its gentle animalic quality.

One of the strongest fragrances I’ve ever tried. Monstrous, house filling sillage with 2 sprays. Smell is very boring though. Overpriced

There is something very intoxicating about smelling this out the bottle. It wears very differently to how it smells. It has a dark deep sweet dry down

Hollyrose by Room 1015, but richer and more complex. Not terrible. Perfect for dominatrices and race car drivers.
