Gourmand to Sour Dry Down
This scent started strong, it was giving pancakes covered in maple syrup with some spiced muffins. It was sweet and spicy. The problem with this scent, that I am having with most of pineward's scents, is that it turned into a weird sour fragrance very quickly. After a couple of minutes, when the top notes were gone, all I got was a weird unidentifiable sourness that ruined this fragrance for me. The projection on the top notes was good but once those disappeared, I was upset with how much I could smell this fragrance. But thankfully, it didn't project for more than a hour. I don't know how long this scent lasts on skin because I washed it off after two and half hours. A 17ml bottle will run you $80, 37ml for $135, and it only gets more expensive from there for a scent where there is more sourness than sweetness.

Not so gourmandish on my skin
On my skin it is very spicy with cloves and something else in the background that I cannot identify: perhaps it is the combination of roasted hazelnuts and rum that creates this sensation.
After opening, however, I start to like it slightly more, but overall it did not convince me.
Performance always at the top!

Gourmand Pineward
Revelries is one of the most, if not the most gourmand scent from the Pineward line to me. The whole fragrance is being a little boozy on my skin (and I totally love that!) and spicy as well. The most prominent notes on my skin are rum, cloves and some dried fruits - hard to tell for me wether it's apple or raisins. I do not detect oud per se, but it might be playing a supporting role, making the scent composition woody. Longevity is above 9 hours on my skin, sillage is good. A nice, decent winter warmer.

Sweet and spicy cidery blend
Sampling Pineward Perfumes Revelries, a sweet and spicy blend that pivots away from pine/fir/spruce and leans rather toward Apple Tabac in that it’s quite sweet and more gourmand-leaning, Apple Tabac being the most unlike the others I’ve tried from Pineward so far. Revelries brings notes of raisin, rum, clove, and cinnamon to the forefront with the vaguely apple-ish vibe throughout, though leaning far more on the other four notes. It has the effected of a mulled cider with a mix of dried and stewed fruits, opening a bit spicier, especially with the clove, but giving way to the apple/raisan blend. I prefer the dry down, overall, as the spiciness might overshadow the sweetness at times in the opening.

Revelries isn’t my favorite of the line but it might be among the most unique that I’ve tried so far, and perhaps the opening just takes a little getting used to. Nonetheless, it’s dense, rich, and has a nice transition from the spicy opening to sweeter dry down, very seasonally appropriate for the cooler weather, a common trait of the line.

The pricing for Revelries is the same as the rest of the line, at $135/80 for 37/17ml, so not inexpensive by any means but still appropriate for the level of craft.

A rather dry and earthy, spicy-woody Fall fragrance, balanced by a sweet and boozy, fruity-spicy opening. Nice juicy Rum and dry nuts combo!
