Sweet - Sweet - Floral/Fruity - Royal Dubai
Without having looked much into the fragrance pyramid (I only knew of a "sweet-spicy"), I had TNB #8 - 'Royal DubaI' this morning.
The fragrance starts with an intense fruity, floral sweetness for the first half hour. I already know that it won't be for me because of this extreme sweetness, but I can't change it anyway - it's already on my skin ¯_(ツ)_/¯
I associate a kind of "tangerine with candy floss", accompanied by a spicy note, cinnamon? Aniseed? Clove? is accompanied. After 45 minutes at the latest, the plum is added. It reminds me slightly of the plum from "Black Collection - IV | Widian / AJ Arabia", but the one from The Nose Behind is significantly cheaper and weaker here.
The fragrance doesn't develop much over the next 2-3 hours. The fruity note increasingly fades into the background before being replaced by woods. After 4-5 hours at the latest, it unfortunately comes to an end - it is only perceptible close to the skin. What remains is a woody candy floss with a slight rose or musk impact.
Conclusion:
Unisex fragrance for women, although as a man I am simply not a fan of such sweet scents. A fragrance for going out and evenings in the colder months of the year or early spring at the most.
Now that I look at the fragrance pyramid, you can say "you get what the pyramid says" :D
The only thing: unfortunately, Royal Dubai is not "oriental". It lacks the right spices, power and wood for that.
The fragrance would not be worth the 175€ retail price to me, as it lacks H/S and is too straightforward. However, fans of (very) sweet fragrances will get their money's worth here.
