Discovering Cologne's Handcrafted Perfume

I have always wanted to try the creation of this hand-made fragrance from two women from Cologne, Germany.

I was amazed by high quality fragrance. I liked especially the fragrance number 9, it opens with vanilla and sugar notes. It's very long lasting and sweet, I feel it the next day and I believe that this fragrance worth trying. The fragrance ist not suitable for office wearing but for a date with the young man - it is a must.

Powdery Sweet Vanilla Dream with Plum

I am a poor scent note detective, but even I can smell a few things here:
In the opening, as described in the pyramid, citrus & plum - for me with a boozy note that I don't particularly like. Plum liqueur with lemon zest describes it quite well, I think.

Once the top note - which I'm slowly getting used to after wearing it several times - has faded, what makes the fragrance special for me comes through:
A super beautiful vanilla, with a slightly powdery iris and a 'fresh' component (could be the green apple). The plum is always present in the background.

For me, Nine has hints of Black Tie - dry, powdery sweetness.
And it also reminds me a bit of Arabesque - probably because of the plum.

In summary, a very beautiful fragrance, definitely worth trying for vanilla fans.

Cotton Candy at the Oktoberfest

This is the Oktoberfest in a bottle! Nine is a gourmand bomb with a fruity opening infused with plums. After the opening, you start to perceive the sweet iris, which reminds me of powdered sugar. In the drydown, Nine transforms into a very sweet cotton candy scent with creamy vanilla and a hint of apple.

This fragrance catapults me to a fair filled with cotton candy stands and caramelized almonds. As a Munich resident, I can hardly wait to wear this sugar bomb to the Oktoberfest!

A Sweet Dream

I had the opportunity to test this fragrance through a lovely perfumer. Right before work, I applied 2 sprays to my wrists.

At first, I really don't like the scent at all. I don't know why, but it opens quite piercingly for me, and I perceive patchouli, which doesn't even appear in the fragrance pyramid. Fortunately, this note has already faded after half the drive, leaving behind a powdery, sweet vanilla dream that doesn't undergo much development from then on. But that's not a problem at all, as I really like the scent this way. The cotton candy scent also reminds me a bit of "Angel (Eau de Parfum) | Mugler," but 9 | Nine is significantly sweeter.

I tested it in warm temperatures and found it very sweet, yet not sticky or overwhelming. Above all, the longevity and sillage are impressive; I can still smell the perfume on myself easily 16 hours after the last application.

Sugar-sweet in the Drydown

First of all, in my opinion, 9/nine is definitely a feminine fragrance.

When I first sprayed it on my wrist, I was initially very disappointed. It opens for me sharply/bitingly, just like Bianco Latte. I don't know if it's my skin or my nose, but I smell the opening the same way on my husband. The sharp scent reminds me of burnt plastic. And this despite the top notes sounding so promising.

I then left the fragrance alone and forgot that I had sprayed it on. After about 20 minutes, I returned to the room where I had previously tried the fragrance and noticed a lovely sweetness; it smells like a fairground. I briefly wondered what it was until I remembered that it must be 9/nine. Sniffed my wrist again, yep, that's it. The biting note has disappeared, leaving behind a sweet cloud of sugar. It reminds me a bit of Pink Sugar by Aquolina, but more grown-up. As if she had graduated from university and matured. Definitely what I had hoped and expected.
However, I am still searching in vain for the apple that I was so looking forward to in the combination.

Whether the first 20 minutes of the fragrance will prevent me from wearing it more often in the future remains to be seen.
