Creamy Fig & white chocolate

The main notes I smell in this are fig and white chocolate. I don’t get any florals at all, and I can’t say I pick up on any musk. I detect maybe a hint of tonka and sandalwood in the background. The fig is smooth and creamy (no green fig) and the almond milk also makes this scent soft and light. I wouldn’t say this is a musky or lactonic fragrance though. It’s just such a gorgeous, light and comforting scent, that wraps you up and hugs you in a delicious blanket of fragrance. Perfect for colder months. I’m so happy to have been able to get this to the UK! I love it!

Consistent, warm, cozy

Golden Aura is my second attempt with Valjues. The individual components sounded exciting, and I was curious whether this fragrance would finally give me the cozy feeling I had hoped for from "12 | Twelve | Valjues." I would say the attempt was successful.

The first impression upon spraying was promising: A velvety, sweet opening that definitely makes you crave more. Once the fragrance unfolds, the tonka bean and a general sweetness dominate on my skin. Floral or woody notes remain more in the background but round off the scent well. I perceive the individual components as harmoniously composed and consistent. However, there is unfortunately again a nuance that I find slightly piercing and oppressive - perhaps cashmere? A bit of a shame, but for me, it's still within acceptable limits, and I enjoy wearing the fragrance nonetheless.

The name "Golden Aura" fits perfectly. The scent is warm, cozy, and indeed radiates a certain golden warmth. It evokes images of hot milk, luxurious fabrics, and sun on the skin. A fascinating blend that currently excites me quite a bit and from which I am far from having enough.

The sillage is so good that I have to remind myself not to overdo it every time I spray it. The longevity is excellent - the fragrance remains present all day and only disappears when I wash it off.

Overall, I find Golden Aura truly successful. In everyday life, especially on colder days, it fits perfectly. For a new signature scent, it doesn't quite make the cut for me because it is a bit too sticky-sweet and not fresh enough in the long run. But as a warm cozy scent on certain days, it is definitely a hit.

I know that one....

Upon the first spray, I was both captivated and irritated. It felt increasingly familiar to me, aside from a slightly pungent scent at the beginning. And yes, this fragrance really does resemble - in the end - the much cheaper Crystal Noir by Versace, one of my favorites. As I said, the one by Valjues is well made too, but anyone who owns Crystal Noir doesn't really need this one.

My new signature?

Normally, I never buy a fragrance right after spraying it in the perfumery. It’s just too risky for me, and several times initial enthusiasm has ended up as just a "Yeah, it smells okay." Until Golden Aura came along...
As an enthusiastic VALJUES user, I went straight to the Pieper perfumery shortly after the launch to test the fragrance on my skin. My hit rate with VALJUES is high, so I was quite excited. And right from the first sniff, I was blown away, a bullseye. For me, the fragrance is the perfect blend of clean scent and sweetness. I am a gourmand lover, but I also often struggle with migraines. Until then, there hadn’t been that one sweet fragrance where I could guarantee I wouldn’t get a headache. In "Golden Aura | Valjues," I found that scent. Ultimately, I bought the fragrance the very same day in the store, and it has been accompanying me in my daily life ever since. At first, I get a fruity sweetness that sometimes makes my mouth water, and later the scent becomes softer, ultra pleasant, and never too much. My friends have also universally loved the fragrance so far. Alongside 12 | Twelve and "Molecule 01 | Escentric Molecules," it ranks among my most worn fragrances and thus has the potential to become my signature.
