The slightly different cherry... rosy and creamy.
Pafory mail in the letterbox today:
7 | Seven... maybe another cherry in my collection?
The first test surprised me, because for whatever reason I had expected a very fruity, fresh cherry based on the fragrance notes.
In fact, the fragrance starts for me with more of a floral cherry, which I do notice, but very subtly. Other notes, above all rose, pepper and tobacco, which already make an appearance in my nose in the top note, push the cherry into the background.
Right at the beginning, Seven has something animalic for me. At first I suspected (unlisted) oud, but it's probably the tobacco note, because I can't help thinking of Sunshine Woman. To me, this kind of tobacco note seems kind of musty.
Apart from that, the fragrance becomes clean and creamy over time. However, it is not a clean, but a soapy cleanliness, like a bubble bath with an opulent bath foam and lots of silky rose petals.
Cashmere and powdery notes support this intimate, well-groomed cleanliness and make the fragrance appear softer and also more feminine.
After the disturbing tobacco note has disappeared, I can now imagine the fragrance on my skin. As the fragrance progresses, 7 | Seven remains pleasantly rosy, soapy and creamy with a very subtle cherry.
My conclusion: Seven is not a typical cherry fragrance and cannot be compared with Duchessa Perpetual Lost Cherry Eau de Parfum. We are not dealing here with a gourmand, marzipany, tipsy, fruity cherry, but with a subtle, rosy, clean, creamy cherry.
The fragrance has good longevity and quite a strong sillage if you spray (too) much.
I will definitely continue to test the fragrance, but I'm not in love (yet).
