well I love to have fun!

A brand new TJMaxx opened up near my house, and so ofc I had to run-not-walk to check out the skincare and makeup (they got &honey-- I repeat they had a bottle of &honey shampoo just sitting there!). I was NOT expecting Sky to be there, and for $15, too.

I would argue the main appeal of Anna Sui eau de toilettes aren't the scents, but the bottles. And this little hot air balloon is so silly and girly I just had to pick it up. The fragrance isn't too shabby either. Inoffensive, juicy (helloooo bergamot), floral, and a little salty where the popcorn accord is. So... 8/10!

A sky full of powdery clouds

You might be disappointed by Sky if you're looking for something with popcorn as a standout note or if you hope for something just as kitschy and camp as the hot air balloon bottle.
But if you're looking for a clean scent for every day, it's actually quite a lovely choice.

The popcorn note is a nice, subtle addition in the opening that warms up the scent. Unfortunately it doesn't last long, despite officially being a base note.
What's left is a musky, creamy to powdery floral. I can't say that it smells like any specific, defined flowers - and in this case I'm glad for it, because one of the listed notes is lily-of-the-valley, which I just don't like and often find screechy. It smells more like a soft, clean blend of different florals.
The drydown is a bit too cool for my personal taste, but that's wholly a matter of personal preferences. I still like the scent.

I think the name Sky is very fitting for this airy cloud of a fragrance, it's just the cute, over the top, borderline childish bottle that makes you expect something louder and sweeter.

Basic but cute.

Overall: the scent is fine, inoffensive and basic, but the bottle is to die for. It's so stupid--I love it.

At first spray, she comes on a little strong and harsh. However, she quickly mellows into a soft, cuddly white floral vanilla. Very girlish. I think I do get subtle whiffs of unbuttered popcorn, but I may just be imagining it because I want to believe it's there.

This one is decor more than a perfume for me, but it was also very cheap--a fair price to pay.

Fresh and airy. I feel the pear, pepper, lily, and rose are evenly balanced. I can smell them all without any one being overpowering. It starts off fruity with the pear and bergamot and settles more into a white floral scent. I had no idea what the popcorn would smell like, but I can make it out a little bit. I don't think there is anything unique about this scent, it's just a pretty floral with a touch of sweetness. It can be worn daily or in an office without being offensive. I don't think you have to be careful with over spraying as it sticks close to the skin.
