I’m sitting here in my office testing. This is MY moment.
The moment of sniffing, of recognizing fragrance notes, of searching for something new and great.
The moment that evokes memories, that sometimes sends a shiver down your spine.
A 3 ml sample of
Carpe Diem is in front of me and I must admit: I’m looking forward to testing it.
First of all, I would like to sincerely thank Yasin, who sent me the sample and made this test possible.
The scent starts sweet, slightly fruity, fresh.
Personally, it’s a tad too sweet for me at first. Raspberry is noticeable, the plum described on the sample (missing on Parfumo) is more in the background. Since I’m more of a plum fan, I would have actually preferred it the other way around.
As the scent develops, the fruity sweetness is replaced by a floral lilac note. Accompanied by a very delicate rose and a slightly sweet caramel note.
At this stage, I like the scent the best.
In the base, the scent becomes a bit woodier-spicier. By now, the fragrance is increasingly unisex, leaning towards masculine.
I find the scent very successful; it has been beautifully and elegantly blended.
I would rather sniff it on a man than on myself.
Test recommendation goes out!
