Toscano Leather extremely weak
Actually, the Maison Alhambra Toscano Leather was my first love in the direction of leather scents. The Toscano Leather in the old bottle was very close to "Tuscan Leather (Eau de Parfum) | Tom Ford." I really loved it and subsequently bought the original.
The Smoky Touch has likely undergone a reformulation with the current bottle.
I had it sitting here for about 2 years because I was really, really disappointed when I first applied it back then, thinking it was a completely different scent than the Toscano Leather.
The raspberry has been extremely toned down, and instead, it has become smokier. The leather is still recognizable, but everything is overall rather unbalanced and diluted.
Unfortunately, it doesn't last on my skin at all; with great effort, it maybe lasts an hour.
I have no idea what happened here....
If it had been the same scent in a new guise, it wouldn't have made any difference, but this is not the same as what was in the Toscano Leather in the OG bottle.
I pulled it out of the shelf after almost 2 years and tested it again against the Toscano Leather, letting my wife compare them blindly. She also believes that it is not the same scent.
So yes, from the base, it is in the same ballpark, but one is more fruity sweet with leather, while this one is just smoky and weak on the chest.
Unfortunately, a disappointment.
Fortunately, I was able to find another Toscano Leather on eBay. And I'm also testing the "La Yuqawam pour Homme | Rasasi," which is said to be very similar, and the Italian Leather to see how they are when they arrive.
The Smoky Touch is unfortunately being discarded.
