I never thought I would come to appreciate this fragrance. Somehow, I long underestimated its wonderful uniqueness. How many times have I circled around the bottle, sniffed it, and thought: Phew, too much!

On a whim, I recently sprayed it on in the perfume shop. Perhaps it was the beautiful, black, and elegant bottle that intrigued me so much. I find the design really lovely. And what can I say? Black Orchid quickly captivated me in its dark spell.

In the opening, the bergamot comes through strongly. It almost smells fresh for a moment. Shortly after, I can already perceive the tipsy orchid with the truffle. Patchouli adds even more depth, while vanilla sweetens it. But not too sweet. It also becomes warmer over time.

Black Orchid truly smells unique to me. It’s not a fragrance where I immediately feel it resembles scent XY. It’s somehow noble, unique, a bit wicked, has depth, and a strong recognizability. It also has a powerful presence and very good longevity, and yet - and this is the big surprise for me - it doesn’t overwhelm me.

I can very well imagine this scent with a “little black dress,” subtly dosed but also in the office. It simply exudes style and confidence for me. I have become a fan!

Narciso keeps bringing out beautiful fragrances, but the last new releases didn't impress me much. So, two weeks ago, I strolled past the Narciso Rodriguez counters in the numerous perfumeries in Fuerteventura without paying much attention to them.

At some point, however, a fragrance caught my eye, and I wondered if I already knew this pretty, transparent purple bottle. And lo and behold - a look in the Parfumo database revealed to me that it was new. So - I sprayed it on and didn't expect much at first.

As I continued to stroll through the still quite warm evening, my nose kept wandering back to my arm. Hmmm, so creamy, soft, warm, and fresh. A hint of orange blossom, but not annoying, the wonderful Narciso musk like in "Narciso (Eau de Parfum Poudrée) | Narciso Rodriguez," but more subtle and fortunately with little lily of the valley and aldehydes. This is how I had imagined the white Narciso, which I unfortunately never got to know. Simply perfect! Sillage is medium-good, but that's usually the case with the slightly fresher candidates.

In the warmth of Fuerteventura, it really shone. It was fresh without being annoying and at the same time creamy and slightly musky, powdery, fine. Back here in the cold, I unfortunately get a bit more aldehydes, lily of the valley, and that ever-so-slightly scratchy note that some people write about. But I still find it very beautiful and wouldn't want to miss it. I'm especially looking forward to wearing it again in the warmth!

Santal-Basmati is for me a beautiful, elegant all-rounder - especially for autumn and spring.

I really like sandalwood anyway. But especially when it smells so fine and creamy - like here - I love it even more.
The basmati note complements the sandalwood wonderfully.

In the opening, I clearly perceive the rice note, which then becomes a bit more subtle as it develops. This may disappoint some rice lovers. For me, it's just right. While I really love the scent of freshly cooked basmati rice, in a perfume it makes the fragrance wearable in a lighter dosage, and the combination simply smells elegant to me.

Cashmeran also makes the scent somehow cozy-warm, which is why I find it especially great in autumn and spring. I don't pick up much from iris and patchouli.

The longevity is for me in the upper mid-range, just like the sillage. You are noticed, but there are definitely fragrances that project much stronger.

Simply a great everyday companion that makes me feel "well-dressed"!

After a clean scent that always works, I searched for a long time. Fresh laundry scents can be nice sometimes, but they quickly annoy me on my skin. Clean skin scents with a salty note are also not really my thing.

Fleur de Peau Eau de Parfum is somehow different. It has something classic about it, which is probably due to the blend of iris, musk, and aldehydes. However, it doesn’t come across as outdated to me; rather, it has a touch of French chic.

In the opening, the pepper comes through pleasantly sparkling, and I think I can perceive ambrette seeds consistently in the background. But what I mainly notice longer and more prominently is a fresh, dry, clean iris that almost surrounds me - carried by the clean musk - in a molecular way.

This scent doesn’t overwhelm you, but it’s somehow always there, and even after a long workday, it was still noticed by those around me.

For me, it’s the perfect blend of polished, classic-chic, and modern. Perhaps it’s simply timeless. In any case, I’m happy to have found my clean skin scent.

I admit, I blind bought this fragrance along with a hair perfume. I actually didn't want to do that anymore... I once saw Ilio in a perfumery, but unfortunately didn't smell it. After that, I researched it and somehow the description stuck with me.

I don't know cactus pear in nature. But the description of its scent sounded heavenly for summer to me. Fresh and lightly fruity, but not sweet. Some here described it as watery. And that's exactly how I perceive it - watery-fresh, lightly fruity, and somehow special. I was a bit skeptical because some had described the scent here as somewhat overpowering over time. Since my skin chemistry usually works well with jasmine, I wasn't deterred by that.

When Ilio finally arrived and I sprayed it for the first time, I thankfully thought right away, "ah, how beautiful it is" and was thrilled. It opens really beautifully for me - fresh, lightly fruity, and just as cactus pear is supposed to smell. Over time, jasmine comes through a bit stronger, and it becomes a little more floral and sweeter. However, it never loses its freshness and lightness for me, and I find that iris balances it perfectly with a slightly cool powderiness. I also keep noticing the lovely cactus pear.

Sprayed on clothes and in combination with the hair perfume, it lasts a good 6-7 hours on me. I find that completely acceptable for a fresh scent.

I am very happy to have Ilio in my collection now. For me, it is a wonderful and special summer fragrance that lifts my spirits and makes me feel elegant in a way. A big recommendation from me!
