Red apple in vintage touch

Crowd pleaser. I feel watery sweet Red apple with touch of carnation and suede. Suede and carnation gives vintage. Peony in there but not the always dominant. Scent isnt so heavy. In cologne form, causes bad longevity. This perfume is very suitable for all age of women.

I Smell Geriatric

Part of a Sephora sampler. Caught a whiff of rose from the bottle, was looking forward to testing it, sprayed it on, and instantly regretted it. This smells like I'm about to get into a fight in the nursing home cafeteria because Gertrude cut in line and took the last roll. Currently about to go scrub my wrists until the smell is gone.

Nostalgic but dated

Both Peony and Blush Suede and the original Chloe EdP will forever hold a certain nostalgic place in my heart. I wore both quite religiously all throughout my early-mid 20s as my daily office scents. The suede note here is very soft, smooth ribbon that ties together a huge bouquet of heady rich peonies and rose. It's not a harsh, masculine leather at all.

I think this is a nice perfume and I could see it as someone's signature as it can hold it's own both in cold and hot weather. Certainly it was quite close to being my signature for a few years. As far as Jo Malone's go, the longevity and sillage is actually quite good.

That said, this perfume smells like color millenial pink and it now feels a little dated to me as a result. I don't currently own this and there are other rose/peony or suede scents I prefer over this now. But maybe I come back to it at some point.

Pretty floral...

I got hold of a full 30ml bottle of this for a good price, I'm always the one to be looking for a bargain! I love suede and leather as notes so I was extremely happy and looked forward to trying it. Jo Malone's perfumes are always a bit hit and miss with me as they combine notes that very often don't sit well on my skin. However, this is an extremely pretty fragrance.

Initially, when I applied Peony & Blush Suede, I got a gorgeous waft of peony. It was sweet and rounded, fresh as if covered in morning dew. It isn't sugar sweet, but naturally sweet. This must be the apple, but it is used very cleverly to enhance the peony and isn't particularly noticeable by itself. At this initial stage I couldn't smell any of the other notes at all.

After about 15 minutes, the perfume deepens with the other florals coming into play to support the peony. This is necessary as peony isn't a particularly strong fragrance and I feel that the other florals just serve to round out the fragrance. The suede is very faint. Rather than being able to smell it, I can more sense it. It is as if the suede gives flesh to the flower petals and they seem velvety in texture. At this point the perfume is as developed as it gets. From hereon in Peony & Blush Suede is fairly linear. It lasted approximately four hours on my skin by which time it was just a powdery residue.

All in all, this is a very pretty fragrance. There isn't anything out of this world or mind blowing about it. Jo Malone hasn't broken any boundaries. If you are looking for a natural, sweet, floral for spring or summer that gently evokes velvet petals, this is the perfume for you. It is very inoffensive and could be worn anywhere. To be honest I wish it had a little more bite as it is so pretty, but I want it to have more of everything.

This is a restrained, quiet lady who doesn't make any ripples. She is pretty and gracious, but in the end rather unmemorable.

Blissful memories

First experience of this fragrance, it stood out and captured my attention almost immediately.
Though notes have peony labelled, its quite subtle, mainly due to the strong apple notes however that is what gives it its unique scent coupled with suede base notes with hints of floral elements. Not a blind buy for those who don't enjoy explosive openings that fill the room.

The performance of this is however far from its impressive scent. Full projection around 1 hour before becoming soft (2-3 hours) hence will be easily cascaded by other scents unless regularly reapplied (if you are someone who likes to stand out in a crowd that is). That being said the initial 1st hour is impressive with sillage upto 3-4 feet. Real pleaser and compliment catcher however the performance is disappointing.

An extremely refined daily cologne to wear as a White silk shirt : soft, delicate , impalpable, but maybe too evanescent fot its high price!

Being such a floral-forward scent, I don’t hate this as much as I expected to. The fruit really balances it out. Still a bit too powdery for my liking
