Ilio Diptyque 2021 Eau de Toilette

Ilio is the perfect embodiment of a summer scent—bright, uplifting, and bursting with a powdery floral citrus that radiates joy. The opening is stunning, with a generous dose of iris, vibrant citrus, and juicy heliotrope. As it dries down, the scent softens beautifully.

After wearing it a few more times (and applying a bit more), I’ve noticed that the creamy, fruity sweetness I adored in the opening lingers longer in the drydown, which I love. There’s also a hint of something reminiscent of dried nuts or coconut, blending with the powdery iris. Truly beautiful and addictive. I’ve had my bottle for a few years now, and there’s already a noticeable dent in it.

Fantastic scent for the summer months. If you like fig scents you will probably like this one (even if it doesn't have fig, but prickly pear, I find both very similar).
The prickly pear makes it sweet, creamy and a bit watery. The iris gives it a lovely and classy powdery note. It has a freshness from the citrus that makes it lovely when the weather is warmer.
I find it very happy and comforting. One of my all time favourites.

i love fig, and pricly pear is a actually named in french "Figue de Barbarie" (Fig from Barbarie), and i love the taste. So i was really interested by this one.
I get a fancy shampoo vibe, it's really hard to get over the shampoo vibe. But afterwards it's an easy wear that will not become cloying with the heat. So it's not groundbreaking but it's an easy reach for the summer.

I really wish the performance on this was better because the scent itself is absolutely divine. It's such a unique summer fragrance - something for the more sophisticated way of life. Ilio opens with an irresistible juiciness thanks to that prickly pear, and then the Iris quickly takes over, creating a veil of powderyness that almost feels fuzzy and tingly on the nose. It's so sensational it sends shivers down your spine. The bergamot is present the entire wear helping to keep things bright and sparkly while to my nose, the jasmine sits more in the background of this one. I understand this being an EDT as an artistic choice. It keeps it light and breezy for hot summer days. But I do wish they offered an EDP because it fades after about an hour or two. Nonetheless, I will definitely be securing a full bottle of this. It's just too special and unlike any other summer fragrance in my collection.

Opens up very powdery iris with the slightest touch of lipstick, kind of creamy powdery but minimal. It then turns into this pear that reminds me of a hair product in an aerosol can, there is something almost effervescent and refreshing about the pear and bergamot. Cute scent, but I would pass on a full bottle, it’s extremely poor performing.
