all good things come in threes ...
I went to my favorite counter nearby ... wanted something creamy.. beautiful and actually a Montale ... my favorite perfume consultant, with whom I always spend an hour or more, was not there :(
It went quite quickly ... on the paper strip I was satisfied... WAS

Once I got home, I was no longer happy.. no, I was even sad/disappointed when I sprayed it in the air. It felt anything but what I wanted... almost masculine (and then I also see that mainly men have it here)... I wanted to get rid of it... it disappeared into the box in my "can go" drawer..

Then came day x, I had a craving for something fresh... and I simply had nothing, as I never paid attention to citrusy scents and such... and then I took it out again.. sprayed it for the first time on my clothes... skin was still nothing for me ... but I had no more fresh options... and suddenly ... in connection with my body scent... I was incredibly taken with it and it just made me happy.. citrusy and woody and cool as if it’s really REALLY cold and you breathe in and your nose almost burns a little because it’s sooo cold... do you know that feeling? that’s how it felt .. when smoke comes out of your mouth when you exhale in winter... WOW clear, and clean and somehow also dry...

And whenever I now want a clear head ... something calming, something fresh that brings me down, I reach for Amberful.

Be My Cookie - or: The Moment When You Think You're Biting into a Cookie and Suddenly Have a Pipe in Your Mouth
This scent is like a Tinder date with a picture of chocolate cookies that then turns out to be an old tobacco dealer. Instead of sweet baking aromas, you get a full dose of "I'm sitting at the regulars' table and philosophizing about cigar formats."

Ideal for anyone working in a tobacco shop and needing the right disguise - or for the charming grandpa look when you're longing for the good old days. But a cookie? Sorry, that's long crumbled here.

What a shame, this was supposed to be a Christmas gift from me to me, absolutely NOT a blind buy candidate!!!

Mama ... I don't want to go home yet
Beautiful scent, sweeter and more sugary than I expected but I love it very much, it reminds me of PinkSugar which I liked a lot in my younger years like many girls.. only Vanilla Haze is significantly more complex.... After cotton candy in its finest form, creamy notes gradually emerge, I can clearly smell hazelnut and almond .. like at the fair, mandarin flashes through here and there, but rather intensely ethereal like the peel WOW AMAZING. .. and then everything becomes a round medley .. caramel, musk .. cashmere and amber form the sugar crust on the crème brûlée that could not describe the perfume better. Great progression and incredibly delicious and authentic gourmand without ever becoming too much, love! A journey in a daydream through childhood memories and in the end, I sit in one of the finest star restaurants and spoon the finest crème brûlée I could ever dream of … pure paradise.

The More Beautiful Lost Cherry
One makes comparisons, perhaps not always good ones, but since LC is my great love that could use a bit more sweetness and lean more towards gourmand, I treated myself to some cherry novelties (luckily there are quite a few coming out right now).

I had my eye on this one very strongly as I found the EDP very beautiful, but the citrus note was absolutely not for me.

I sprayed it and immediately thought of LC; the cherry is there right away, dark and really beautifully sweet.
For a brief moment, even though it’s not listed, something citrusy comes through... I start to get worried... something like those sweet jelly oranges with sugar on the outside but a bit more bitter, like blood orange.....
As quickly as it appears, it’s gone again... phew, dodged a bullet...

Then it simply becomes beautifully sweet & intense like Amarena cherry syrup, thick and sticky (but wow, I’m totally into it) a lovely creamy marzipan note comes in quite quickly, and amber adds a dollop of vanilla cream on top... Wow, I can’t stay objective, because where LC was too unisex & liqueur-like for me, here I get my sugary Amarena cup that makes my mouth water....

Goodbye Lost Cherry... I am where I wanted to be....

Backaroma is not meant to be used solo
Puhhh I really don't know where to start with this scent...?
The blind buy because there’s no Tom Ford counter nearby? That I somewhat regret it? ...

Well... come on ... what most people find off-putting immediately turned me on ... the name... yes, even at nearly 39, married for 15 years with 2 kids, a scent with that name can still make me extremely curious, the marketing strategy hit the mark here :)))))

Now ...... I open the package and want to smell it right away ... SILENCE !!!!
WHAT IS THIS???? I really expected a lot but not this.

What did I expect? A sweet, intense vanilla bomb like condensed milk over marzipan with a bit of powdered sugar on top :) a wild gangbang of sweet delicious sin.

.....and what comes? A limp one trying to find happiness in missionary position...dust-dry baking aroma really 1:1 like from grandma's baking drawer, no wait, a mix of baking aroma vanilla & bitter almond .... nothing sweet, nothing creamy, nothing marzipan... everything I was looking forward to is not there :((( I make no secret of it, I am really disappointed. No scent development... I am still searching for the flowers in vain...man.

What do we do now? Damage control! As it is, I see it more on a man... so pure it’s really unisex leaning towards men ...BUT as a woman, I am refreshing.. just as no one eats baking aromas pure, I also see no chance (for me) that the one from Tom Ford finds its place here solo... but layered, it can do something...; with creamy/powdery scents WOW, with fruity scents HEAVY (with sweet cherry-heavy scents, THE BURNER) it’s like a lipstick topper, just that last bit of flair to push a scent to the next level.

But to my sad conclusion ... I really can't spend that much money for a vanilla push in my favorite scents if it’s not really wearable solo... that was a blind buy that was a total flop...määääp really a shame :(((((
