Niche in the drugstore.....
with star perfumer Hamid Merati-Kashani. Known for many fragrances from the house of Parfums de Marly.
What can I say - an absolute hit in my eyes. I already had and knew many fragrances by David Beckham, most of them were really okay, sometimes even really good, but the
Exquisite Leather goes one step further.
You can tell straight away that this is the work of a good perfumer. It is spicy - soft - boozy - leathery and with a minimal fruitiness. In short, a wonderful perfume for the fall / winter but also with rough edges, which is meant in a positive way.
I actually only expect something like this from niche perfumes in the higher price segment. If someone had presented me with the fragrance in a PDM bottle, I would have immediately noticed it and thought it was a new one from the house.
A nice leather accord with a certain whiskey note, makes it a bit dirty / wicked and is still not too strong or intrusive.
The orris root & cashmeran and musk soften the perfume and round it off nicely.
The longevity and sillage are not outstanding, but I don't expect that at this price, but it is still completely okay and satisfying.
I love the
Exquisite Leather, a great release.
And when do you find...a niche in the drugstore....!!!

Symphony of contrasts
I would not have thought that I would like the
Oud Maracujá so much. Opinions differ greatly in some cases.
With oud, it's difficult for me when it becomes too animalic / cowshed-like. Then I get a direct aversion, with rose it's no different.
However, Maison Crivelli does everything right here. Although the fragrance has a killer performance and is really strong, it's not too much. I can't really describe it.
It's a brutal opening of fruity - tart passion fruit paired with soft perfectly balanced oud - leather - saffron....wow. In the drydown it becomes resinous / vanilla, a little quieter and more pleasing.
You have to test and experience this perfume for yourself. It is simply different and special.
The perfume is a statement, immediately there, strong, loud.
It can be overwhelming at first and confuse the nose. But that's exactly what makes it so good and interesting.
That's what niche means to me...! Simply outstanding and a symphony of contrasts.

Synthetic alloy
Perhaps my nose has simply become too arrogant. I used to love perfumes like this, but not anymore. Basically, the fragrances chosen here are really good and could harmonize really well together....but why is it so synthetic?
Of course, most perfumes today are made with just a few natural ingredients. Artificial or synthetic is generally not directly bad, but you shouldn't perceive it that way.
And unfortunately I notice it right from the first spray. Gisada could have made more of it, this balsamic spice together with the sweetness of vanilla, tonka bean and iris.... actually beautiful but unfortunately only beautifully artificial.
I don't know if it's intentional, but I also detect a metallic accord. This is probably what the name and the bottle design are intended to convey. Fits...but also somehow not.
Well, in the heart and base notes, the artificiality fades a little, which for me makes the perfume a little more wearable and pleasant.
I expect more for the price, so my arrogant nose prefers the niche area.
Titanium Unfortunately just okay...no more and no less.

If it weren't for the rose....
Unfortunately, the rose kills my willingness to buy
Momento. In itself a strong fragrance with mega performance, but it's been too long since I last smelled
Arabians Tonka. So I can't give an exact comparison.
The opening is powerful and direct. The sweet saffron note with the fruity nuances hits you right in the nose. You have to like that, but it's not too strong, just before the maximum.
I was very enthusiastic until the damask rose in the heart note ruined everything. Unfortunately, it is so strong for me that I immediately disliked it. The whole process is actually really good, the tonka bean, the oud with the vanilla and caramel note exactly my taste.....but the rose is always so present that it bothers me extremely.
Well, it is what it is but if you like rose in perfumes...go for it, just try it, because what you get here for your money is really remarkable.
- great packaging
- mega presentation
- Hammer bottle
- blatant sillage & durability
- and the price is more than good
Only if...only if...the rose wasn't there!!!

Love at second sight
When I tested Torino 21 for the first time, I wasn't particularly impressed. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't wow either. The fault was probably the time of year, it's amazing how you perceive fragrances that are exactly the opposite of the season, because it was winter.
In the spring of this year, I had it in my hands again and sprayed it on again and then came the wow effect. What a great perfume, this citrus that combines with the various accords of mint, thyme and basil is totally invigorating and simply amazing.
The heart adds a hint of lavender and rosemary, which give the fragrance an elegant depth. It is sporty - dynamic but elegant at the same time.
It shows its strength in spring / summer. It can be worn on any occasion, whether for sport, leisure, dinner or a date.
An absolute all-rounder for me.
What can I say, another unmistakable masterpiece from Xerjoff and I love it at second sniff.
