This is what BTSO “Sex & Cognac” should actually smell like with a name like that. A teasing mix of sweet and dirty; I think it’s really brilliant.

Green woods and dry earth are backed by a rose/leather that combine to remind me of powdery cocoa. Drydown leaves earth and cold yet moist air.

Sweet booziness fades to leather and faint oud. Comfy warmth bordering on gourmand. Not sure where the sex is.

Petitgrain supported by light citrus gives a laundry vibe. Subtle enough to make people think you just smell good!

Starts with more green notes, feels classically masculine. Quickly degenerates into something still nice, but reminiscent of an American Eagle store.

Reminds me of a bitter Italian aperitif - grassy and raw, mellowing slightly over time to more leather, citrus pith, dry flowers.

A garden both carefully planted and allowed to overgrow itself. Hot foliage, thorns, young flowers, crushed seeds underfoot. A masterpiece.

Beeswax and honey, but in a strikingly realistic way - not romanticizing honey but just cracking open the hive and sticking your nose in.

Not overly sweet, it captures the scent of soft rain in a forest of mostly evergreen. I am reminded of Le Labo's Baie 19, but a warmer rain.

Walking through a pine forest after a light rain, sipping a gin cocktail that is just sweet enough. Both familiar and mysterious.
