Coconut Cream Shower + Passion Fruit Split = High Addiction Potential?
I casually tested the predecessor because I really appreciate the price-performance ratio of MG fragrances and was already impressed by similar scents like Soleil Blanc Eau de Parfum, Casamorati - Quattro Pizzi, or City of Stars. The combination of creamy notes, clean sweet flowers, and a lovely summery citrus just puts me in a good mood. Fortunately, I was not disappointed. I was pleasantly surprised by the first version, the Cococaine Eau de Parfum, and ultimately had to succumb to the restock and signed up for the presale at MG. Especially the promised stronger longevity and higher fragrance oil concentration had piqued my curiosity and raised hopes for a strong and long-lasting release for summer 2025.

About the fragrance:
Where Casamorati - Quattro Pizzi comes across as opulent, rich, dense, and lush, the Cococaine Extrait de Parfum manages to present a special lightness, transparency, and cleanliness. Where City of Stars is feminine, freshly washed, and has a strong mandarin note, the Cococaine Extrait de Parfum contributes a special creaminess that emphasizes its unisex character.

The Cococaine Extrait de Parfum smells as if the best parts of Casamorati - Quattro Pizzi and City of Stars have been taken and fused into a beautiful composition that can best be described as a fusion of coconut cream shower and passion fruit split. Grapefruit and bergamot come through very pleasantly in the top notes and perfectly lead into the heart of abundant tuberose and coconut. The fragrance lingers here quite a long time, and the base never comes through exclusively, allowing one to always enjoy the sweet, sparkling, and tropical joy of life of the Cococaine Extrait de Parfum.

The Cococaine Extrait de Parfum is a beautifully balanced scent with sweet creaminess, clean flowers, and tropical freshness that does not come across as too opulent. The fragrance is simply very pleasing and can be worn effortlessly by anyone. It should be noted that Cococaine Extrait de Parfum is significantly creamier and sweeter than its predecessor Cococaine Eau de Parfum, which results in a slight loss of freshness and transparency.

About the longevity:
The longevity and sillage have noticeably increased due to the reformulation and higher fragrance oil concentration, and can be rated at 8/10 instead of the previous 7/10. The fragrance lasts almost the entire day with moderate application (6-10 sprays) and never feels too strong or overwhelming.

The new spray head with 0.12ml per spray is also a positive improvement (previously 0.08ml/spray) and significantly enhances the overall feeling when applying the fragrance. I had already seen clear improvement potential in this area and am glad that this issue has been addressed. Here, at the price for 100ml in the niche segment (although olakala is actually a designer brand), there is little room for criticism regarding both the bottle and the H/S.

I am completely satisfied with this reformulation and do not regret my purchase. The Cococaine Extrait de Parfum will be my summer fragrance for 2025.

Thank you for reading and enjoy testing!

From Donauwelle and New Car Smell
The Mandorle Extrait de Parfum is, for me, the best winter fragrance I have had the pleasure of experiencing in my fragrance journey.

In short, it serves up an incredibly juicy Donauwelle adorned with cherries, which is enjoyed alongside a hot chocolate in an upscale café. Escaping the sugar massacre, you find yourself in your newly configured sports car with luxurious leather interiors. The scent of the café, which seems to cling to your leather jacket, and the wrapped Donauwelle for the lady at home, spreads throughout the sinfully expensive car and complements the air with a delightful elegance of new car leather, juicy cherries, airy cream, and delicate dark chocolate.

That's exactly how Mandorle Extrait de Parfum smells.

I received the Mandorle Extrait de Parfum as a surprise sample with a fragrance mailer. Curiously, I took out the sample and was dismayed to find that the cap was cracked and the sprayer had been activated several times during transport. However, this did not bother me further, as the scent that had soaked through the envelope and greeted me upon unpacking was a revelation of gourmand heaven.

Curiously, I delved into the fragrance house "Sora Dora" and, to the detriment of my wallet, found that the price I now had to pay exceeded my expectations exorbitantly. In retrospect, however, I must conclude that the Mandorle Extrait de Parfum is worth every cent.

--The Fragrance Journey--
Mandorle Extrait de Parfum begins with an extreme cherry explosion. Here, there is a strong resemblance to the gourmand king Lost Cherry Eau de Parfum and the Electress "Duchessa | Gritti," which subsides after a few minutes.

As it develops, a noble-soft leatheriness takes over, paired with gentle toffee-caramel, which finds its place as a sugary additive in warm premium bitter cocoa with a splash of amaretto.

The drydown, on the other hand, leaves a soft vanilla with warm tonka bean, reminiscing about delightful evenings in the café with friends enjoying Donauwelle in leather chairs, before they hop into their 500-hp speedsters and race off into the sunset...

--The Sillage and Longevity--
The sillage is overwhelming. The initially extremely strong and room-filling projection lasts, based on my experience, up to 2 hours before it morphs into a 2-meter radius cloud. This projection is very respectable and leaves nothing to be desired. The Mandorle Extrait de Parfum definitely lives up to the title of Extrait de Parfum (9/10).

The longevity ranges, depending on dosage, from 8 to 12 hours. However, the drydown remains noticeably perceptible for several days after application, leaving a cozy warm vanilla veil on the blessed garment (9/10).

--The Bottle--
The massive tinted glass, the pressure-sensitive fine sprayer, the heavy and grained cap, as well as the fine lively lettering create a harmonious overall composition. Additionally, there is a thick microfiber cloth included, which is useful for cleaning the bottle's face, rounding off the experience. Here, the presentation justifies the price and sets the bar too high for many competitors in the price category (*cough* Tom Ford *cough*). There is nothing to complain about here (10/10).

--The Conclusion--
In summary, I can say that the initially noted price, which could cause insolvency, does not seem so unjustified upon my honest review. A narrow coin looks different, but considering the significant merits of the "Mandorle (Extrait de Parfum) | Sora Dora," the honorary title as a diamond among gourmands is well-deserved.

Thank you for reading

Absolute Freshness with Turquoise Factor
The Pacific Rock Moss by Goldfield & Banks is for me the perfect embodiment of the most carefree, joyful, and authentic freshness I have found in the world of perfumes so far. The radiant turquoise color of the bottle, paired with the simple and clear design, excellently introduces the theme of the fragrance.

Fragrance description:
After a beautiful dive at the Great Barrier Reef, it’s time to head back to the beach. Here, one finds a spot among the sun-kissed rocks of the cliff. In thought, one is still with the colorful corals hidden deep in the reef, the small fish darting between the algae, and the sun rays breaking from the surface of the sea, illuminating the vibrant world of the Pacific. The stones are slightly mossy and give off a wonderfully bitter and natural note. Exhausted from the sun, one treats oneself to an ice-cold lemon iced tea from the nearby beach hut. One gets comfortable and listens to the sound of the sea and nature. Now and then, the fresh sea breeze, combined with the slightly sweetened iced tea, wafts into the nose, reminding one of how peaceful and carefree the world can sometimes be...

With "Pacific Rock Moss | Goldfield & Banks," everything revolves around the incredibly invigorating freshness and delightful citrus note. In my opinion, the theme of the northern coast of Australia is perfectly captured.

Longevity and sillage:
For a freshie, the Pacific Rock Moss is quite potent. With the good price-performance ratio, one can apply it generously without feeling regret. For me, the fragrance lasts really long, and it’s not uncommon for me to still notice it on my clothes from the previous day. Even while wearing it, a pleasant wave occasionally wafts into the nose.

In numerical terms, I would grant it a strong sillage lasting 1-3 hours (with 3-9 sprays). I would place the total longevity at around 8 hours. On clothing, as mentioned, it is still slightly perceptible days later. It is not overpowering, but a good scent cloud when passing by is definitely present.

From my surroundings, I have always received feedback that I smell extremely fresh and unobtrusive. My father, who strictly stamps every perfume except for his beloved Acqua di Giò pour Homme Eau de Toilette as "way too heavy," was strongly positively impressed by the "Pacific Rock Moss | Goldfield & Banks." "It smells good, but it's way too expensive," grumbled my father, which must serve as the ultimate quality seal.

Good Mood in a Bottle
The Marzocco Eau de Parfum is for me the epitome of a feel-good fragrance.

Wonderful citrus-sweet notes open the scent and remind me of homemade lemonade. Juicy lime, combined with mild mandarins, radiate pure joy of life, without allowing a hint of bitterness. Essential oils from citrus peels are not to be found here.

After the opening, creamy sweet notes join in and a gentle vanilla spreads out. Here, the fragrance shows all its charm and envelops you with the finest sweet-citrusy creaminess I have ever experienced.

Fortunately, this state lasts quite a long time for me. It can definitely be perceived for 4-8 hours, depending on the dosage. However, the sillage is somewhat lacking. 1-2 hours is the maximum here, after which it becomes more intimate. In my opinion, overspraying is not possible at all.

The Marzocco Eau de Parfum knows how to impress. The fragrance composition is so simple, so straightforward, and so incredibly pleasant that you can hardly not like it…

Somehow special
The Liquide (2022) from Liquides Imaginaires captivated me from the very beginning with its incredibly noble and massive bottle. I was so taken with the bottle that I had to order the fragrance online without hesitation. Of course, this was preceded by an extensive study of the notes and statements here on Parfumo, so I was particularly curious about the neoprene or plastic note that was often described here. Biscuit-like sweetness, creamy spice, and that certain something were promised, and I must say, I was not disappointed.

The top note:
It indeed starts with a bizarre neoprene note that smells like damp plastic. There’s an association with thick soft plastic, similar to swimming rings or transparent toiletry bags that were forgotten in the sun during summer. At the same time, there’s a certain smokiness and leatheriness swirling around, which I can't quite describe the scent of. The whole thing has something mysterious, something unusual. Perhaps some will gratefully decline here, but I say: Stick with it, it’s worth it!

The heart note:
Slowly, this synthetic plastic note recedes into the background, and saffron, vanilla, mandarin, and orange blossom spread out. Carrot seeds and jasmine are also slightly recognizable in the background. In the heart note, the fragrance feels balanced and attractive. A wonderfully biscuit-like sweetness reminiscent of biscuits served in expensive cafés with espresso spreads out. A certain parallel can be drawn to "1 Million (Eau de Toilette) | Rabanne," but in my opinion, it’s misplaced. I also cannot understand the comparison with Initio's "Side Effect | Initio." The Liquide is noble, mysterious, and has that certain something. You don’t quite understand what you’re dealing with, but you can’t stop smelling it.

The base note:
The drydown is extremely pleasing. The schizophrenia of the top note and the mystery of the heart note have completely faded away. Here, a wonderful vanilla with creamy biscuit-like qualities dominates, which comes across very friendly and doesn’t offend anyone.

Longevity and sillage:
With the right dosage, the Liquide (2022) can accompany you all day long. The projection is solid, and indoors, you will be well perceived at a distance of 1-2 meters for several hours. Nothing that disturbs or annoys, but definitely long-lasting and enduring.

Conclusion:
Liquide (2022) is a very successful release. Together with "Blanche Bête | Liquides Imaginaires," Liquides Imaginaires has managed to create fragrances that completely resonate with me. The bottles are massive, the price is still bearable, and you get everything except boredom served.

The Liquide (2022) is unisex wearable, but it really shines on males over 20. A clear recommendation from my side!
