I didn't like it at all at the beginning. Something very dry, dark, unsweet trumps everything else. Although the note is not specified here (it is on Fragrantica), it's definitely the ink.
By this point I was ready to wash my arm... thank goodness I didn't! Once the smell of the ink subsides, the scent becomes beautiful. A very little dark fruity and slightly spicy sweet. I also find it very slightly fresh in the form of something woody.
Very nice fragrance, and I like it.

Marshmallows, roasted over the campfire............................................... daintily
No fragrance has taken me so long to consider buying it as "By the Fireplace". But at the airport I hit him and took him with me.
I admit that at the current temperatures of 36°C and more it is not exactly suitable, but of course I had to try it first. With new fragrances I just can't hold back.

By the Fireplace starts directly pleasantly sweet. There's vanilla, which you can also recognize, but I think it still has something of a great warm caramel and/or roasted marshmallow note. In addition, one immediately recognizes the chestnut (well chestnut itself I would not have recognized, but one recognizes the nut note). It doesn't make the fragrance too sweet.
A short time later, however, the fragrance becomes much spicier and smokier. Really reminds of a smoky campfire or a burning fireplace. When I stood so next to my mother she actually said something was burning in the neighborhood. So it really smells like a burning fire at that time, and although you should expect it from its name ("By the Fireplace"), I didn't think it would be captured so faithfully. To be honest, this fireplace/ campfire note is almost too much for me and gives me a slight headache. Shortly before I'm about to wash my arm off, this smoky note fades away and the beautiful, powdery sweet notes of vanilla and roasted marshmallow come out again. Instead of the chestnut note above, the woody-sweet note of cashmeran now resonates. I like the base very much.

The durability of By the Fireplace is really great and I can recognize it the next day. Especially if it was sprayed on clothes, you can still smell it days later.
I'm looking forward to being able to use this great scent in winter, because I think that it can be interpreted better in the cold temperatures than in these hot summer temperatures.
I will certainly also look at the one or other replica fragrance

Missoni = Mainstream
I've been interested in Missoni a long time. The scents all read well and also the bottle is really beautiful. A lady in a perfume store had put a test strip under my nose and I was immediately positively surprised. A few weeks ago, when he was on offer, I ordered Missoni as well. Now I can finally test it more extensively.

Missoni starts off beautifully fresh and citric, but becomes softer and sweeter with the pear note. So they are by no means sour citrus notes, but rather beautifully sweet and fresh.
Very soon the floral notes come through. I can see the jasmine very well, but I can't say what other floral notes to add.
Towards the base it becomes sweet and woody. Missoni is a consistently soft and harmonious fragrance that wants to please. It's not a grab bag, it's very predictable.

I'm a little disappointed in the scent. It's nothing unusual now and such sweet floral fruit scents are already abundant to be honest. Also it has no recognition value for me and could really be any fragrance. I wouldn't recognize me. The durability and Sillage leave unfortunately also to be desired. Only the bottle is and remains a feast for the eyes. I still think a lot of people will like it because it's just mainstream.

Terryfic Oud - and great he is
Terryfic Oud is the only scent my partner and I share. A true unisex scent that smells different on both of us. He smells much more masculine herby on my partner and somewhat sweetish, more sweet on me. We both like it the same. We both also like the flacon's design and the way it is presented, which also suggests a unisex scent.

Terryfic Oud starts directly very strong and loud with the Oud; quite smoky, mysterious and almost killing. Also rather unsweet and instead rather spicy-herb. I directly perceive the oud and saffron that surround my skin. I can only guess the berry notes in the background, but I have a lot more of them than my partner.
In the heart Terryfic Oud becomes a little closer to the skin, softer, flattering, a little powdery. It's still spicy and smoky, but there are more fragrances that round off the fragrance and always give new facets.
The base lasts long and lingers on the skin. The oud can only be guessed, but the spice of the fragrance has remained. In addition, woody notes have been added.

A really successful fragrance that pleases both me and my partner. For me probably no fragrance that I can always wear and also rather in the cold days fits, but I find it really beautiful. Perfect for oud beginners.

Opulent dream - or not?
I have long been fascinated by the beautiful, simple design of the Terry de Gunzburg Flanker. The contents of such a beautiful bottle must certainly reflect this. During a Gabattaktion I then struck a few flacons and I was most excited about Rêve Opulent. The scents alone were very promising. I was all the more expectant when the package finally arrived.

The fragrance starts very nicely; it is soft, slightly fruity, slightly floral, powdery. I like this slightly sweet, fruity floral, but at the same time somehow dry powdery, reminds me a bit of Chanel Chance Eau Tendre.
The gardenia of the heart note shows itself fast and I feel, in combination with the jasmine, as really successful. The fragrance also becomes very creamy, soft and close to the skin.
In the base, to be honest, the scent is hardly noticeable for me anymore. The combination of vanilla and musk is very light and not very meaningful.

Although I really like the fragrance in general, and the mixture of fruity, flowery and powdery is really very good, I have to say that I am very disappointed by the shelf life and Sillage. I had hoped for much more (for the price). The fragrance is throughout rather very close, with a hardly perceptible Sillage. And also the durability is not longer than 2 hours. Very unfortunate, since one could have really made more out of it. Opulent is different for me. Too bad
