The yummy mango smootie!
Cruz del sur II is the perfume i go for when i want to smell tropical or just want to smell edible. The juicy mango is there during the whole perfume use but there is so much more that changes it! The lactonic/milk note is super sweet and blends perfectly with the sweet fruitiness. The mango is the main fruit in this but the bitternes from the pineapple makes the perfume not be overly sweet which is right to my liking!

horrible
absolutely awful scent. i was excited for it but, it is easily the worst thing i have ever smelled in perfumery. Smells of rotten fruits mixed with milk and metal. Putrid and vile. Pathetic excuse of a fruity fragrance. I had to SCRUB this off my hand. so bad. idk how people like this. it is repulsive to my nose and makes me nauseous and i wanted to throw up everytime i tried to smell it.

Not your momma's mango..
Cruz Del Sur II is unlike most mango fragrances. I must admit, it took a full wear to fully understand it. I can see how a lot of people are completely turned off by the milk & dried fruits in the base. For me personally, I'm not turned off. I think what throws a lot of people off is this really isn't a typical tropical/pina coloda concoction. The mango here is more on the unripe side, and the juicy aspect comes from the guava & pineapple. All in all, I do really love this fragrance. Personally, I can see myself wearing this in the fall, in addition to summer (but probably not on super hot days). There's certainly a punch of depth & complexity here, which I why I think you could wear this in autumn as well.

I remember watching a video where Sergio Momo was discussing how the inspiration for Cruz del Sur II came from a trip he took to the Brazilian Amazon. I've spent some of my childhood in Brasil, but not the Amazon. But I will say this, This scent does remind me of the overall scents of Brasil. Most people would associate smells such as tropical flowers and coconuts when thinking about Brasil, but no, not exactly, this is a misunderstanding on a large scale. When I think of the smells in Brasil, my mind goes more towards an earthy range, think lots of green vegetation. That's what I get from this fragrance; a magical blend of green mango, fruits, and a touch of earthiness from the violet leaf. I think Xerjoff really nailed it. I appreciate how this house produces fragrances that are more complex and challenging. There are a couple from them that I needed to give a full wear in order for me to "get it", and once I do I end up falling in complete love.

If you're looking for a sweet, pina coloda-y type of mango that you'd wear to the beach this isn't it. If you're looking for a more complex mango fragrance that takes you on a magical journey then I would highly recommend this!

Discordant note that lies underneath a wonderful combo of pineapple and mango
It was supposed to be a hit as the notes were right up my alley for a perfect fruity perfume for summer. But there's a note in there, underneath the tangy pineapple and the fresh mango that doesn't sit well with my skin chemistry and my nose. It clashes weirdly with the beautiful fruity notes. It smells kind of woody (which made me suspicious of cedarwood) and smells a bit like sour cereals? It's very hard to describe. This undescribable note unfortunately remains during a good part of the perfume's life on my skin which is the main reason why I won't be going further than a decant.

Apart from this unfortunate discordant note, I do smell some green notes and some undescript floral notes. Pineapple and mango are a little bit synthetic, but they do remain quite strong, blending into a fruity, fresh note that remains up until the end. There's some creaminess at the beginning of the fragrance that fades away in favor of fruitiness and sweetness. The drydown is musky, with a lovely vetiver note while cedarwood remains ever so strongly on my skin (my skin chemistry really loves cedarwood for a reason).

I have the impression it's a me problem and not the perfume's fault. Maybe my skin also doesn't react well to Xerjoff's DNA as I have yet to find a perfume from them that works. I've seen the positive reviews and I wished I was part of the hype train, but unfortunately it's not the case. Oh well, I guess my wallet is safe again!

Intense Mango Sticky Rice
Ok there's really no rice in it but thats the initial imagery it gave me on first spray. Its not a light airy citrusy scent in the slightest, but rather the most intense gourmand mango ive ever smelt. Incredibly realistic. Picture yourself at a fine dining restaurant and ordering their signature desert. Its a compressed mango sticky rice over a mango reduction with a very mild smokeyness . Simply delectable. To be honest I do not smell any of the other notes because the mango is so overpowering that it masks all else, which isnt a bad thing. It doesn't smell like cheap mango syrup or body lotion either. This is an EXPENSIVE mango that you purchased for 50 euros at one of those high end japanese supermarkets inside the department stores which sells grapes for 300 euros per bunch. Leans more fem I would say but its definitely a unisex. I remember a guy I was on a date with gave me a sniff and was blown away that he too purchased the fragrance.

Longevity is about 6-8 hours id say. Sillage is STRONG. This one really projects. Walk into a room and everyone be wondering who that mango queen is strutting around :P

I am surprised by how much I hate this. If you fed a baby only milk and tropical fruit, i think its poo would probably smell just like this.

A weird, undescribable discordant note lies underneath that fruity sweet pineapple and mango combo which unfortunately turned me away.

Smells like someone drank a gallon of mango lassi and then threw up.

Musky, milky mango. More sticky-sweet manjo juice than the fleshy fruit. As if Accento and Erba Pura had a baby.

After a fresh and juicy tropical fruity opening, this creamy/sweet floral-fruity Gourmand, settles to a warm musky-woody base. Unique!

First realistic fruity fragrance that I’ve smelled. It’s like put the nose in a basket of yellow fruits! Good job Xerjoff

A delicious milky mango scent, that is not overbearing. It reminds me of the taste of good mango ice cream from an ice-cream vendour
