Sparkling mint and greenery
ELdO Discovery Set 1/20
Let me preface this by saying I do not like fresh scents. Having a collection full of powdery sweet perfumes, I have never smelled a fresh green perfume that made me go "yep, this is full bottle worthy"- until I found YoSLK. I smelled it in a store, not expecting anything at all as I knew about the notes; upon spraying it me and my boyfriend immediately locked eyes and went "holy shit".
This is the most gorgeous spring-summer scent I have ever smelled. It avoids the sharp, sour, in-your-face citrus route and instead creates a beautiful non-boozy but cocktail-esque medley of fresh mint, subtle bergamot, and greenery. It's like sipping on a minty carbonated drink in the garden while the sun hits your face- this is the scent of pure joy and tranquility.
The subtle florals and grass notes become more prominent in the drydown but never lean sweet or jammy. What it leaves is a green and realistic trail of freshly cut flower stems, with the ever so slightly minty edge. This perfume is the epitome of a unisex spring scent, and I will definitely be thinking about a full bottle once my sample runs out.

Ivory white ghost
A tender explosion of white musk, violets and vanilla at the start, enveloping you in a sweet powdery cloud. The subtle woody cedarwood and malt (??) blend with the lime top note to balance out the sweetness, creating a feeling of soft warm skin. The initial scent is powdery and gentle, while also being lightly sweet in a non-gourmand way.
This would undoubtedly be one of my favourite perfumes if it wasn't for the abysmal longevity. I kept smelling my arm every 5 minutes after sampling it, and the perfume became a vague white musk skin scent within half an hour. 2 hours later and it's fully gone- I asked others to smell it too in order to make sure I didn't go noseblind, and none of them were able to make out any discernable scent. What a beauty she is, only to fully disappear right after her phenomenal arrival...

Sweet and masculine spiced vanilla
A boozy and masculine vanilla, perfect for autumn and winter. It's sweet, with a woody and slightly spiced edge- the cedar and lavender prevent it from leaning into feminine territory, although it would smell absolutely gorgeous on a woman too. Long lasting with impressive sillage- it lasts for 4-5 hours on my skin, and days on clothing.
It's perfect for almost any occasion, and can easily be a memorable signature scent. It's the sort of cologne that makes you want to get closer to the wearer just to be able to smell the whole bouquet of notes. An alluring choice for a date- comforting, warm, and sensual at the same time. I'm loving the rise in sweeter masculine perfumes

A (truly) good girl
I was skeptical since I am not a fan of the original Good Girl, however the premise of a perfume smelling like Delina without the heavy splash of ambroxan was intriguing. I was not disappointed- VGG has a fruity-floral opening with prominent rose and lychee, which is juicy but not too cloyingly sweet. It lacks the green, sour sharpness of Delina, and isn't so powdery that it becomes just like the exclusif; it definitely smells like a designer perfume but stands out from most other mainstream offerings.
VGG begins to slowly lose its fruity qualities as it dries down, leaning into being a sweet floral scent. It works a lot better in colder weather, which allows it to retain the lychee and red currant notes for longer and prevents it from becoming candy-sweet. It eventually develops into a jammy rose skin scent, which works beautifully on me.
I wouldn't say that this flanker is too similar to the original, but it is a pleasant addition to the line nonetheless. Plus, I just can't resist a good fruity rose!

Clubbing perfume for a party girl
Smells exactly like the bottle suggests- Good Girl is the ultimate clubbing perfume. It draws attention to itself due to its sillage and longevity, yet it significantly lacks in the originality department; while potent, it smells synthetic and indistinguishable from most other sweet/spicy designer perfumes. This is what the perfume department in a store smells like- a jumbled mess of notes with nothing that stands out. It's not necessarily unpleasant, per se, but there is nothing particularly memorable about it either. Could work as a quick reach for a night out but I don't see myself (or anyone else) wearing it in any environment other than a party or a late night date.
