It could have been sooooo nice...
Hello everyone,

today I would like to share my opinion on "Pacific Chill | Louis Vuitton" in relatively few words.

I am not a real friend of the house and that has 0.0 to do with the name, the bottles, or the perfumers, on the contrary - see for example this one! They create something really great + pleasing. My big problem here are 2 things. Firstly, 97% of fragrances have a performance that could be improved, let's call it ...., well let's be honest that's really modest.

And my second problem is the PRICE you have to pay for the fragrances. If I spend x amount on it, then I would also like to get something in terms of H/S and that is exactly the difficult combination for me!

Yes, there are fragrances such as "Imagination | Louis Vuitton", "Ombre Nomade | Louis Vuitton" or "Les Sables Roses | Louis Vuitton" that are really good in terms of performance, but fragrances such as "Afternoon Swim | Louis Vuitton", "On the Beach | Louis Vuitton" or "Pacific Chill | Louis Vuitton" are so-so...

and thus begins the review.

We have a really fruity, fresh, citrusy bomb here! The first 10 minutes are really fantastic and during this time (!) the fragrance is one of the TOP 20 I know, but after that it becomes linear, pleasing, interchangeable and somehow boring (unfortunately).

The general H/S is ok, but nothing more,
after 6h or 7h at most the expensive pleasure ends.

And that's exactly the point why I don't have one, a little more performance (at least 8h or 9h) and I would possibly spend the price, but like this..., a real shame LV...

When designers like Dior, Chanel, Guerlain and co. sometimes perform far better than a fragrance that costs 3x - much more than the fragrances of the house, then it is (also) difficult for me to say - YES I NEED IT!

And now have a nice day/evening, or whatever you are reading this review, LG the Benny

You raise the "dark" quality to a new level...!
Hello everyone,

today I would like to say a few words about "Dubai - Oud | Nabeel".

A few years ago, I could never have imagined that I would be talking about a fragrance from a house like Nabeel. Because almost 8 or 9 years ago I tested a very wide range of the "best" oud fragrances (high-quality) and at that time it was not mine and really not my world. Maybe I was too young, too inexperienced or both... Today I understand these fragrances better and see them differently!

Many years have passed and I no longer run away screaming (well sometimes I do, but only if you overdo it subtly). Now I don't just smell the animalistic cowshed, but other - exciting and really beautiful chords.

One thing by the way, I already know some of ALD, EO and co. and know what absurd quality they offer..., but I think Nabeel is really great for the price they charge. Of course they cost really good money, no question, but at 700€ (upwards) you really notice the love for the fragrance and the quality. In the SINNE of the make times 1, 2, 3 splashes in addition... compared to many other houses!

About the fragrance:

It swings around wildly with the oud club and right at the beginning you are almost caught directly by it. It's dark - woody and very animalic! There's no need to beat around the bush! The real and noticeable main player of the fragrance is the oud, as the perfume name says, but the scent becomes "somewhat" more pleasant after 30 minutes and certain accords enter the room

You notice a certain interplay between the woody notes with the resinous, soft notes and the patchouli. There is also a real variety of oriental and spicy notes, such as incense, tobacco, cardamom + LEDER and some "TOUCH" of balsamic notes.

The H/S is gigantic in the sense of 20h and more,
anyone who claims otherwise ok...., sure...,
but I can't take that seriously!

Recommend:

If you like or love this kind of thing = sure?
Newbies difficult, because it takes x - xx attempts and sometimes YEARS (like me), but one filling fits ;)

Roja has delivered...! / A discontinued legend
Hello everyone,

today at this late hour I would like to say something about the (beautiful) "Amber Aoud Absolue Précieux | Roja Parfums".

What does it smell like:

To describe this fragrance in a few words is not really possible in my world. Surely I can say something like - it starts slightly sweet, oriental and slightly woody, in the drydown it picks up noticeably and that's it...!

But that doesn't even begin to do justice to this masterpiece. (I've known it for a few years, by the way, and my bottle is one of the last from 2021). As soon as you spray it on, YOU are overwhelmed by what feels like hundreds of fragrance notes... and that's not just to say that, I'm always like that and I really don't know many where that's the case!

Please read carefully (!), I have a 2019 "Nefs | Nishane" pre-order and the first 20 to 30 minutes remind me of it, although I find the "Nefs | Nishane" sweeter and a little "wetter".

I'll explain what I mean!

After the "beautiful chaos" settles you slowly realize what phase it is. Initially, it is a May rose + oud + fig scent that is drier like the "Nefs | Nishane". It is by no means dry as dust = it is pleasantly drier!

Then it becomes more and more ambery - resinous - creamy May rose oud fragrance. The oud used never becomes dark or evil and, in my opinion, not animalic either! For example, in my 2015 "Musk Aoud Absolue Précieux | Roja Parfums" you notice that it's a bit nastier in the first 15 minutes. But everything is cool here!

For me it's a work of art, a really true one!
And to think he was hired.... -_-

The performance is (with mine) when I talk about numbers, then we are in the "noticeable" 20h range (and more), even the sillage is still there after 12h and that is more than remarkable...

Briefly about the OVP, the bottle, sprayer, lid and co., I consider anything other than a 9 or 10 to be QUATSCH. As far as the pure quality of the sprayers is concerned, only Chanel and Dior can compete (no XJ, no PDM, no Nishane and certainly not Amouage), if then Clive Christian! Yes, everyone can see and evaluate the lid and the little stones as they wish = it's a matter of taste, but REST is top!

On the subject of price:

I'm kind of PITY to talk about it because it's relative = just like my words..., but I'm a merchant and at the end of the day I also evaluate the overall package and 1000€ for 30ml is not just sporty.... you have to want that and be a FAN of the brand or the fragrance... , I will NEVER say something like RECOMMEND TO BUY or buy THIS, but one thing has to be said..., it's already AWESOMELY GOOD!

Besides, you can't "credibly" explain to anyone with a normal income that you need a fragrance for €1000. That's certainly not "shooooot", but I'm just saying ;).

Is it worth it?
NO!

Is it absolutely necessary?
NO!

Is it good?
YES MAN!

Is it worth a TEST?
Somehow it is...

Would I honestly buy it again?
Now that I have and know it, I'd probably be LYING if I said never, but I'll put it this way, if I could find another bottle at a fair price, I might not say no! Besides, since I know it's discontinued....

Why?
You only wear such a special fragrance on very special occasions (that's the case for me). And if I were to use it more often, its charm and magic would evaporate very quickly - besides, if you don't use 10 sprays of Musk Aoud Absolue PrécieuxMusk Aoud Absolue Précieux is simply too potent!

That's why it will live a WHILE ;)

It's definitely worth a test!

Such a fragrance, for such a (low) price = respect!
Hello everyone,

not all of us can afford fragrances from Xerjoff, Roja, PDM, MFK, TF etc., or there are supposed to be people who don't want any of that and in the end that's perfectly ok in my opinion, everyone as he can and wants (all cool).

It's better to own inexpensive fragrances and have a good + positive vibe, that's far more VALUE than someone who can afford virtually all fragrances and is bitter and negative = experienced and seen it all before.

Rasasi as a house has been doing a really great JOB for a very, very long time.
I am in the fortunate position that I can buy fragrances that cost 1, 2, or 3€ more than others and yet I have been a very big friend of "Hawas for Him | Rasasi" (Outing) since DAY ONE and over the last few years I have been asked by sooo many male employees if I know a clean, slightly "different" fragrance for very little money...!?

And so the review begins!

Almost always my answer was "Daarej pour Homme | Rasasi" and hardly any other, because yes - it is clean and well-groomed, this always comes 1a, especially in the office! And the oriental touch it brings with it is really really nice!

But one of the biggest plus points of the fragrance is its price. Because when you consider that it only costs around €20, it's really shocking what an ABSURD good P/L ratio it has.

The fragrance is not of the noblest, highest quality and of the "perfume art" it is certainly not a niche fragrance (in terms of purity), that is clear and self-explanatory in my opinion, but I just wanted to say this. And yes, it probably only works on a synthetic basis (also due to the price).

Does this bother you?

Normally it would be a pure no-go for most of us, but the Rasasi house packs the usually scratchy, artificial, annoying and unattractive feeling very well in my opinion.

H/S is ever good and in the price range really 1a!
If you want more power, I recommend "Molecule 01 | Escentric Molecules" !
(AS A TIP ALSO!)

How does it go down?

It is actually aimed at the office or generally professional / well-groomed + clean, but the soft, creamy and very subtly sweet aspect in it makes it very popular and not repulsive. Because many women like it more - IF a man is clean and well-groomed and smells ;)

If I really wasn't convinced, I wouldn't recommend it to you!

Did you need....?
Hello everyone,

today I would like to add my "mustard"...

Is it worth it and did I need it + can I recommend it?

Short answer = no!

(Actually, you can leave me a cup now and leave the review, since you already have the answer. For those who want to stay, I'll explain it to them or / and I'll give you 1, 2 ways of thinking as to why I think the way I think!)

The whole ADG is a true classic and probably everyone knows the smell of one of the series (at least).

Problem number 1: - Flanker madness -

Many are too similar, nothing new and hardly any that really stand out, except for the "Acqua di Giò Profumo (Parfum) | Giorgio Armani"

Problem number 2: - the price -

We are talking about a premium designer here and in this area their prices are also premium, unfortunately.

Problem number 3: - high quality -

The fact that companies are fixated on achieving maximum sales is nothing new to me (as a businessman, among others) and is also understandable somewhere. If x fragrances have a similar structure and a similar performance and a similar "relatively modest composition" then I don't know whether I need this...

All are fresh, aquatic, citrusy and some have more, smoky, some are woodier, others are more floral, like this one, but ultimately many are very very similar. Know one, know them all!
