Clean, freshly washed laundry with Orange / Power even in 2025?
Hello everyone,

210 people have written something before me, so in my opinion it is not possible to bring you new insights into how it smells and co. but there is perhaps something that might be of great interest to one or the other and that is the H/S of the current batches 2024/ 2025 and those earlier.

Well, I have to lose a small set as it is so that I don't get into trouble.

It is a fresh - floral and very clean fragrance, which brings a very concise note of orange (+ orange blossom) from the beginning to the end and at the end a creamy clean and relatively simple musk takes over the helm. But it does NOT come across as cheap or distracting.

Fragrances from MG are always good to very good in terms of pure H/S and yes 2021 (!) was more in the category of outlandish, insane, absurd and violent in a positive sense.

And have we made the perfect transition to the Batch and the Power + is it still worth a "NEW PURCHASE" these days ?!!?

I had the fragrances EVERY year and therefore know the batches. Back then they were mega = really and from 2023/ 2024 you could already notice a change! Fortunately, they were not synthetically acrid, or it became a new fragrance, or the H/S went into the basement = all already experienced! That's why it's all good.

Those got a little weaker, though something is not in the disturbing range!

You can easily have a longer working day of fun with it and possibly even a little longer.

Perfectly ok in terms of price, then as now!

So YES, I can recommend it!

And now have a nice day/evening, or whatever you read this review, LG the Benny

The perfect start....
Hello everyone,

today I would like to TALK about a fragrance that I have known for the longest time - related to the fragrance range of EO.

Many people like to talk about "the perfect introduction"..., but somehow this is relative!
(Why?)

I don't have to like what one person likes, and you don't have to like what I like. That's just an example and we're not even talking about the price (for it).

Yes, there are people who like it a little sweeter - for those I recommend the Jamaican Ambergris and if it can be greener - woody - creamy, then the 1984 or the EO Green is a good choice in my opinion.

Because those are STILL affordable and not as pricey AUA as some of the brand, but that's relative again, isn't it ;) .
____________

How does it smell?

It is green - mentholy - woody - creamy and slightly fruity due to the YUZU at the same time and to be honest I find it very difficult to find something that I don't like or like less.

The (real) oud used here is never annoying, nasty or disturbing.

Later on, the sandalwood mentioned here dominates and becomes the main player. The entire fragrance becomes incredibly creamy, but never (!) loses its green soul and that in combination with the moist - menthol is mega beautiful!

So if YOU like something like this (this direction), then I would definitely recommend a TEST!

About the H/S:

We're talking about 9h and more here, whereby the EO Green is more likely to be an effective 10h or 11h for some of you.

Where and when?

From summer evenings or it is really usable on almost every day (except in midsummer) and YOU will probably not go extremely on the NERVES with the (EO atypical), because it is also atypical for EO - really very MASS COMPATIBLE and there are very many who will like and LOVE something like this - I mean women on you. These are the observations I have made so far.

If you ask me - does it smell like ....?

Sure, you could say Irian Green and 1984, but those are less familiar to some. If we start from more well-known fragrances, then I'll name 2!

- Coromandel Eau de Parfum and Richwood until 2021 (!) had a similar woody, earthy vibe and each used sandalwood (so we also have the effect of this in part). But of course it's only a few real percentages (!) , is my personal opinion.

Personally, I'm incredibly happy that I've never let it out of focus and that I have a bottle!

Topic price:

In terms of price, I find it extremely modest to evaluate something like that anyway, because the products offered by EO are practically in the ULTRA - high-end - niche - artisan - luxury - league and that's why I find it incredibly modest to actually say something like that wrong. Yes, there are perfumes and oils that cost what some cars cost...., but everyone has to decide for themselves whether they are worth it or not - that's how I see the issue!

Sometimes you need a little distance from certain things...
Hello everyone,

today I would like to (finally) say something about the Private Blend: Hailam Kilam.

To be honest, it's frightening how certain fragrance impressions change and "sharpen"..., shortly after the release in 2024 I got a remaining bottle of Private Blend: Hailam Kilam and if I'm absolutely honest (as always) .... because somehow I didn't like it at all.

Over and over again and for months, the fragrance gave me the impression of a kebab shop. Why and why, I have no idea and today, after almost a year and after some distance to it, I recognize soooo much more and I absolutely understand why many celebrate it so much!

Before I come to the things that I perceive, I have to say something in advance 23/ 24 rather 23 was the starting signal for me that I was slowly drawn to EO and maybe I wasn't ready yet or even overwhelmed - possible.

By the way, when it's currently almost 30°C, it might not make the most sense to talk about such a fragrance..., but maybe it does ;)

The fragrance is musk based and it's nonsense not to admit that, there are of course notes like the blackberry, the tea, the oud, or big striking but the beautiful part of the sandalwood, but at the end of the day it's a musk fragrance, DOT!

This musk is special, because in combination with the sandalwood this fragrance creates a cloak, a light scarf or a wrap that surrounds you = this is sheer madness!

Certainly you notice a gentle oud impact towards the end, just as tea greets you as an accessory, but these notes such as rose, jasmine, pepper and the listed clove are in the 2nd or 3rd row in my opinion

The sheer longevity of the Private Blend: Hailam Kilam is its greatest strength in my opinion, because those absurdly CRASS, when I name my EO's that have a similar longevity, we are talking about the Tigerwood: Terengganu , the Tigerwood Royale and the Homeros Attar , although the last two don't necessarily count as they are highly concentrated attars.

In fall / winter I see absolutely perfect time for the Private Blend: Hailam Kilam and PLEASE dose it carefully, because there is a very fine line between cool and overloaded, in the sense of too dense, heavy and annoying for everyone including you = that's why sometimes less is more ;)

If you are a lover of (real) musk fragrances, or love quality, or the pure POWER, or you just like it (there are not too many bottles), then try it out - PLEASE!

Personally, I'm incredibly happy that I finally have it again and have given it a second chance, so to speak.

And now have a nice day/evening, or whatever you read this review, LG Benny

Speechless - not only in Seattle :P
Hello everyone,

i got a small sample from him x - xx years ago and today I definitely know that I wasn't ready for it, maybe it was a mix of age/maturity and knowledge of certain fragrances.

It's been a very, very, very long time since a fruity (not sweet!) fragrance has impressed me as much as it does. When I say years, I'm easily talking about 10+ years and the fragrances I'm talking about were the vintage Nio and the 1872 for Men

Indirectly, this already indirectly addresses his preferred clientele.... . because the fragrance wants to be worn by those who appreciate quality, those of a certain age and those who have already achieved something in life. It also has something about it that you can never take from the "nice" notes...

He reflects something / has something about him of a very successful man who is NOT interested in the opinion of others about him, because he is (clearly) above them. This power + force that he carries with him is almost a little intimidating.

What do we actually have here?

This fragrance is fruity (not sweet), tart and dry, is also green, has hints of fougere and is very creamy. What I really appreciate about this fragrance is its certain simplicity.

What exactly do I mean by that?

Many fragrances listed here have xx fragrance notes and are almost over-saturated, but sometimes less really is more. You can tell that the fragrance focuses purely on the (quasi) high quality of the selected perfume oils. The fragrance never disturbs for a second and the fact that hardly anyone knows and has the Crown Imperial is beautiful, but also frightening and sad at the same time...

I don't really know such a potent fruity-green fragrance and I would almost say that the Crown Imperial is one of the strongest in this category (!).

Therefore a little tip, with many fresh - fruity fragrances you can also take a few (!) sprays more at a certain time of year, with the Crown Imperial forget it. 4 sprays max, otherwise you will be greeted by a severe headache = that's how strong it is!

If you know the 1872 for Men and you like it very much, then I recommend you to test it, maybe a bottle will find its way to you, provided you can still find one.

Personally, I'm incredibly happy that I now have it again!

PS

Just by the way = the Crown Imperial and my old No. 1 for Men are already a brute team ;) !

9 years ago today...
Hello everyone,

today a few words about the Invictus Aqua (2016).

Almost exactly 9 years ago to the day, I was in Douglas with my wife and she actually wanted to buy a summer fragrance for herself and she was trying out the range and, as luck would have it, there was a cardboard display not far from us with the words "new range", yes, we went there and there were only men's fragrances...., so I was alone and I tested my way through as well.

In addition to old favorites like the Le Mâle Eau de Toilette summer range, some from Chanel and Bvlgari, at some point came the Invictus Aqua (2016) and yes I knew the Invictus Eau de Toilette but I was never a friend of it and well, you can give it a chance!

Sprayed on... - Summer in a bottle, feeling good, vacation, relaxing and a bit of a party. All combined in one fragrance. Of course it has something synthetic about it - no wonder given the price. But it's nothing pungent, annoying + repulsive.

fresh - citrusy - aquatic and slightly mineral + a subtle sweetness in the drydown, it was really cool back then!

And yes, I bought one ;) .

Nowadays there are of course x - xx alternatives for sometimes far less money with a better H/S, but back then it was really good for what it was and what it could do. Nowadays you pay collector's prices for it, unfortunately very high ones...
