From 0 to 3rd place/ The Iris bomb/ Big love...
Hello everyone,
today I would like to write something about my "new arrival" and introduce it to you in a few words.
For me as a longtime Iris friend, the test was indirectly a must and since I like the Purple Rain Attar very much, the test was indirectly a MUST for me, but I knew that a test would be very difficult and also very price-intensive. Because there are or were not exactly many of them...
A simple test...., became a PURCHASE and a great LOVE arose from it and I will try to tell you why and how I think and acted like this!
About the fragrance:
At the very beginning (the first 10 seconds) the fragrance seems fruity - sweet like the Ottoman Ambergris Assam Sultan, but after almost 20 seconds there is almost nothing left of it and the main actor of the fragrance enters the stage, the (powdery) iris.
It is a slightly dusty, dry and minimally green and I am sooooo grateful that it is exactly like this, because a real iris has to be exactly like this in terms of character and if it doesn't have these characteristics, it is not a real iris... if you take a look at how iris oil is produced, you will quickly understand what I mean.
After just under 25 to 30 minutes, the oud slowly emerges, but in my opinion the fragrance is not woody and not even rudimentary, but the oud donates its properties here and disappears again - you notice something ethereal or slightly mentholated and almost somewhat cooling.
After that, you notice how the Purple Rain Attar greets you from time to time and generally I recognize a lot of fragrances here purely from the production (sometimes more and sometimes less). The Iris Ghalia Parfum in various versions, the Purple Rain Attar, I also recognize the Iris Blanc with a few exceptions, and when I smell the earthy and slightly dusty iris here, I also have to think of my old "Irisss | XerJoff".
An iris fragrance with an oriental twist, an ethereal/ mentholated vein (briefly), a creamy musk in the background, a very very subtle spicy sweetness - and the COLA vibes are also present. Even if less than possibly expected in advance...
It immediately fought its way into my heart - but why?
I really like certain iris fragrances and if they are of good quality = I'm all in. And since it's a little fusion of my favorite fragrances here somewhere..., I knew indirectly which direction it was going in and with certain fragrances and directions (e.g. iris) you can rely on EO!
But why do I only give the fragrance a 9.5 ... and not a 10?
It's not that easy to describe. I give it a 9.75 out of 10 because it's not just so - daily wearable like for example my Iris Blanc and the brutal price of well over 2000€ for a full 50'er , are also what I find somewhere difficult to exclude..., purely from the perfume art is a "SAFE" 10/ 10 , but the price...
When do you wear something like that?
On special occasions!
Can it be used every day?
Rather no, firstly because of financial considerations and so it would lose its charm...
When:
September to April/ May
Shelf life:
Leaves nothing to be desired and anything under 9h utopian!
Sillage:
In itself typical EO and typical iris fragrances.
Why?
EO - in the first hour it is very present! Typical iris - after that they act in a bubble.
In general...
The Purple Rain: Trifecta has a special charm of its own - something mystical and mysterious, this probably comes from the ambergris used and surrounds you like an aura that you turn to, that you look up to, that you want to be surrounded by.
Another small - big tip:
Never judge a high-priced + high-quality fragrance only by how it smells on the spray head. Because this picture is not truthful! It smells completely different on the skin. I often say this - I know, but this is extreme!
If the option opens up - test it,
you may not regret it!
Topic price:
In terms of price, I find it ultra modest to evaluate something like that anyway, because the products offered by EO are virtually the ULTRA - high-end - niche - artisan - luxury - league and therefore I find it incredibly modest to actually wrong to say something like that. Yes, there are perfumes and oils that cost what some cars cost...., but everyone has to decide for themselves whether they are worth it or not - that's how I see the issue!
And now have a nice day/evening, or whatever you read this review, LG the Benny
_______
PS
On the skin, the Purple Rain: Trifecta is one of the most beautiful fragrances I have experienced and if you like the iris as much as I do and the Purple Rain Attar as well, then feel free to test it...
