Tropical Gris
It was love at first swipe.
Tested by official EO sample, I bought it straight away.
It opens with a tropical floral scent immediately supported by a creamy animalic amber smoky scent of (perhaps) the most beautiful ambergris I have ever smelled.
The combination of flowers here is magnificent, I can't identify a single note, but the whole is something extraordinary really, it feels like tropical fruit and berries at times. The vanilla adds a further exotic hint to the whole.
The ambergris here is slightly smoky mineral, but very creamy and persistent. It follows you throughout the whole fragrance.
Crazy fragrance.

Tropical and Refined Ambergris with Hoi An touches
Jamaican Ambergris is a true olfactory gem—effortlessly wearable yet rich in complexity and depth. It opens with the sweet yet green and aromatic nuances of jambu resin, setting the stage for an exquisite floral heart. The combination of frangipani and jasmine is both luminous and sensual, further elevated by the presence of high-quality ambergris, which lends its signature sandy, oceanic character that lingers throughout the composition.

A particularly distinctive oud adds an earthy-green facet with an almost aquatic feel, seamlessly blending with the incense-like depth of Hoi An, which introduces a subtle smoky elegance. The result is a beautifully balanced fragrance—fresh, tropical, and refined—where every note is harmonized to highlight the richness of the ambergris. A standout creation and one of my personal favorite from EO.

Tropical Elegance and Refinement
Jamaican Ambergris is one of the most intriguing and captivating fragrances I’ve ever experienced. This creation by Ensar Oud revolves around Jamaican ambergris, one of the rarest and most precious qualities, imparting a unique aura of depth and mystery.

The opening is surprisingly tropical, with a burst of fruity freshness that immediately draws you in. This fruity nuance persists throughout the fragrance’s journey, always supported by a creamy, slightly mineral ambergris base that is never overpowering. The overall effect is a luminous, sophisticated, and relaxing composition, with a depth that fascinates and enchants.

Jamaican Ambergris is a masterpiece of balance, transporting the senses on a journey of tropical elegance and sensuality while showcasing the unparalleled craftsmanship of Ensar Oud.

Thor has struck his anvil
The sea is rough because a heavy storm has come up.
A Viking ship crosses the stormy sea with lashing waves, howling winds and lightning that lights up the sky.
It is clear to everyone - Thor is swinging his hammer and striking his anvil like he has never done before. The sparks are flying in the sky.
Waves pile up into huge, shifting constructs and then subside again. They crash against the ship's side and the salty water has covered the entire bottom of the ship for a long time.
The ship is tossed back and forth, the men hide under their animal-scented animal cases to escape the adversity of the storm.
A barrel filled with pickled fruit, which was taken on board as a supply, is split open so that the fruit and the wooden splinters of the barrel mix in the salty water of the sea.
In the midst of this chaos, a healer kneels beside a wounded man and treats him with various plant tinctures and flower oils.

The Vikings sail on bravely. In time, Thor's anger subsides and the storm recedes.
The clouds slowly disperse, brighten and the sun's rays fight their way through the previously dense cloud cover.
As time passes, the salt dries on the men's skin. Rain and storm are over.
What remains is the memory of this incredibly wild journey, the impressions and the smell of salty ambergris.

Jamaican Ambergris is the brand's third fragrance to bear this name.
I was excited about the fragrance and didn't know which place it would take between the other two.
For me, one reflects more the aquatic and salty characteristics of Ambergris, while the other brings more fruity components into play.
This one, Jamaican Ambergris, combines the two fragrances and reflects both compositions in its own way.
We have very intense and salty ambergris notes right from the start.
They give the fragrance aquatic and fruity notes. The ambergris is so intense that it is and remains the main protagonist throughout the entire composition. The name is absolutely apt here.
It is rare for expensive ambergris to be used in such generous quantities, which makes the fragrance high-quality and unique.
It also contains high-quality Hoi An Oud and not too little (2 grams per 50ml). However, this is less noticeable, as the ambergris initially masks everything.
As the fragrance progresses, however, the oud notes on which the fragrance is based come to the fore in combination with creamy sandalwood.
Juicy roses and flowers loosen up the composition somewhat, while vetiver, Peru balsam and massoi bark keep the strong fruity notes in check with dry, woody and slightly resinous notes and prevent the fragrance from becoming too floral or too sweet.

For me, Jamaican Ambergris is the best of the range and if you want a concentrated load of Ambergris, you've found a great fragrance here, but it comes at a price.
For me a terrific realese.

If the price is too expensive, but you really want this Ambergris experience, you can also take a look at the Jamaican Ambergris Attar, which is also incredibly intense.

Thanks to everyone who read to the end :-)

Actually, I never wanted to get an EO again and then you came around the corner....
* Possibly this will be a bigger review
*

Hello everyone,

i'll start with a few possibly informative points.

1. I never wanted to buy fragrances from the house again, but why? I'll say it directly - because of the price, because at 20€ to 30€ and sometimes even more per ml is too much even for me as a true "fragrance lover" and the merchant in me then says = do you really need it.... Indirectly, we also come to the raw materials, their quality and co. and as far as this topic is concerned, EO is the absolute Champions League. More is virtually impossible and yes... indirectly you also have to pay for this, but anyone who is interested in such a product or wants such a fragrance will know this too!
2. After Iris Ghalia Parfum, the Homeros Parfum (Ambre Limited), and the Oud SQ Pure Parfum, among others, there should be an end to this.... but I kept getting a sample of Jamaican Ambergris and after X months of TESTING I bought a bottle of Jamaican Ambergris TODAY, even though I never wanted another one... So it must be able to do something...

________________

About the fragrance:

It starts wonderfully rosy, very fleshy, deep red = you can almost feel the quality! Right at the beginning for the first 3 minutes it seems as if there are still red (very fruity) berries in it. After 15 minutes, the rose recedes into the second row (but stays there).

And slowly the ambergris enters the room, there is something smoky, a very subtle vanilla greets from afar and yes the pure ambergris..., how do you describe it? Mysterious, mystical, heavy and light at the same time and absolutely beautiful when combined with the matching notes.

As it progresses, we notice something woody, something creamy (probably a mix of frangipani + sandalwood). And it also ends very calmly, but it always retains this mystical character.

Why did I choose this one, even though I didn't really want another EO?
I'm a big fan of ambergris and when it comes across as somewhat mystical, like Baikal Gris Extrait de Parfum or Atlantic Ambergris II, then a fragrance already has my attention. And in my eyes (personal opinion!) it is a small work of art. The many TESTS of the last few months at 30°C and more was not bad either, because used discreetly (1 spray) it works very well there too!
Opinion on the oud!

I've been reading a lot lately along the lines of quote,
Smelly, fecal, disgusting and co. either I'm scent-blind or I don't know... You can smell wood yes, smoky and ambery, but certainly nothing fecal and bad! (In my eyes, it's one of the house's most beginner-friendly fragrances. I know completely different things about the house...

How does it arrive?

My wife didn't like it at first, not at all. But after X months she is very happy when I use it! I had exactly the same experience at work! Thanks to Jamaican Ambergris, among other things, I'm looking forward to the colder days!
In general...

It is and remains special and should be used as such, because otherwise its MAGIC may evaporate very quickly and using such an expensive fragrance almost every day = you can do it, but I advise against it, also financially...

The dear money / the purchase price:

I am PITY to talk about whether a purchase makes sense or not, in this respect it is very relative and my views may not be like yours and vice versa... . From a purely commercial point of view (which I am, among other things) I can say = test it, then we'll see!
And now have a nice day/evening, or whatever you read this review, LG the Benny
_______

(Now the same as almost always - because it's true!)

Now on the subject of luxury:

As you can see in my profile, among other things, I have really smelled many fragrances and there are fragrances where you smell a certain (partly) strong synthetic and you notice quite quickly that some fragrance houses go for quantity rather than quality and there are some where you just realize "oh come on, let's put more + better in" and you can smell this at the end of the day.

Very briefly on the subject of OVP, bottle, sprayer:

I'll make it short, I give it an 8 out of 10 in each category and I know very well that tastes are very different. So if you honestly rate this with a 6 or less... - PUH. Nice and valuable lid, beautiful timeless flacon design etc. .... so I find it very difficult to rate it differently and I'm not saying this because I like a brand or not!
Now a quick word on the subject of my opinion:

I am not sponsored, influenced by anyone, receive money or anything else. I approach the subject of parfumo as I am, honestly, everything else is not mine. My real personal opinion is worth a lot to me and maybe I hope ;) that you notice that. If I don't like something, e.g. OVP, bottle, sprayer or H/S, then I communicate this!

Fruity, aquatic, floral, sweet, animalic & woody. Powerful but light.

A flawless fragrance, best interpretation of watery grey ambergris!
