The older brother who wants nothing to do with his little brother!
As I am a huge fan of "Shaghaf Oud / شغف عود (Eau de Parfum) | Swiss Arabian", I had to order a bottle of the new "Shaghaf Oud Elixir | Swiss Arabian" as soon as I heard about the new release. After waiting for a while until there was finally an offer in the souk for a bottling, my 5 ml bottling was now in front of me. I hadn't been as excited about a fragrance as this one for a long time.
So cap off, *spray* *spray*. *Spray* ... BOAH.

After the very first spray, my entire apartment was flooded with the familiar DNA of "Shaghaf Oud / شغف عود (Eau de Parfum) | Swiss Arabian". Anyone who rates the sillage of this fragrance below a 9.0 would do well to consult an ENT doctor.
It is a similar story with the longevity. As with its predecessor "Shaghaf Oud / شغف عود (Eau de Parfum) | Swiss Arabian", this is very good, but even better in this case due to the higher concentration of fragrance oils.

So far so good, now we come to the most important point. And that is the fragrance.
Let's keep it short. I find the predecessor (unfortunately?) much better.
The DNA of its predecessor is not as clearly recognizable as I had imagined.
It's only after a while that the characteristics of the younger brother also become apparent in the older brother. In the first half hour, the two fragrances don't have much in common; the new "Shaghaf Oud Elixir | Swiss Arabian" could even pass as a separate fragrance in the Shaghaf Oud range from Swiss Arabian during this period. The elixir is therefore very different from its predecessor, although the basic DNA becomes more present after a while.

I would describe the fragrance as follows:

Take the predecessor "Shaghaf Oud / شغف عود (Eau de Parfum) | Swiss Arabian", and throw in twice the amount of oud. Unfortunately, this is a very synthetic oud, which remains very synthetic and even slightly pungent at times throughout the entire fragrance. We also throw in double the amount of chocolate, but this time dark chocolate!
The rose remains the same in terms of concentration, but becomes slightly more floral in the course of the fragrance than its predecessor.
The rest is not noticeably changed.

All in all, I am rather disappointed with the new release due to the very present synthetic oud, as it makes the fragrance, which always seemed so high-quality, appear very cheap. However, I am a huge fan of the new chocolate, which comes across as a very dark chocolate as described above!

Unfortunately, the fragrance doesn't convince me to buy the full bottle.
However, I will still really enjoy walking the streets with my 5 ml bottling
(and especially the closed rooms!) to make unsafe.

Cheers!

(By the way, the bottle is already available on the Swissarabian.eu homepage for just under 70€ free shipping. But not on swissarabian.com!)

This is what luxury smells like!
It all started with a generous gift certificate from a friend, which led me into the exciting world of (niche) perfumes.
My first stop on this journey: The "XJ 1861 Naxos | XerJoff" .

So with "XJ 1861 Naxos | XerJoff" I dived for the first time into a world of fragrances that I have never experienced before. This fragrance is not just a perfume - it becomes the perfect companion for special occasions, as well as days when I want to feel special and confident in my skin.
Without wanting to anticipate much - As you have certainly read between the lines so far, I really like this fragrance! :-)

On my skin, the fragrance lasts about 5 to 6 hours and behaves after the fading of the citrus top note quite linear.
Tobacco, honey and a touch of lavender dominate, which eventually combine to form a warm and very elegant composition.
The tobacco gives the fragrance a smoky and very deep elegance, while the honey adds a sweet, almost addictive and very warming facet.
Once the fragrance has largely evaporated and is perceived by me only skin deep, a very pure and warming vanilla note dominates the fragrance.
Too bad actually, that this wonderful vanilla note does not appear earlier!

In conclusion, the hype around the "XJ 1861 Naxos | XerJoff" is in my opinion undoubtedly more than justified. With its unique fragrance composition, which spreads an irresistible aura of pure luxury, and its remarkably long-lasting, yet not intrusive presence, it is a must-have for anyone who is even the slightest bit interested in fragrances.

Cheers!

The battle between sweet and salty!
First things first, I love fragrances with a certain uniqueness, and this one definitely hit my taste. The "Join The Club - 40 Knots | XerJoff" is such an exciting blend of sweet honey, woody notes and a beautiful airy pinch of salt water.

The scent behaves pretty linear on my skin. About 5 minutes after spraying on, the scent has fully developed and lasts about 6 hours.

The honey note gives this fragrance a sweet, very warm note, which takes the main role over the entire course of the fragrance. The woody notes also come into play after a short time and provide a masculine, earthy dimension. This gives the fragrance a unique elegant and very serious character.

But the best comes at the end - the salt water note.
Before I was allowed to sniff this fragrance for the first time, I could not imagine with the best will in the world how one should be able to hold a "sea breeze" in a perfume - Now I understand it.
In fact, that is exactly what makes this fragrance truly unique and varied. The combination of the ever-present sweetness, which is occasionally drowned out by a small "sea breeze". Delightful!
A constant battle between sweet and salty!

This fragrance lets you escape again and again for a short precious moment from the hectic everyday life and transports you mentally to the sea.....on your yacht.........at 30°C.........at sunset... - AND BACK TO EVERYDAY!

As luck would have it..
After being enchanted by the "XJ 1861 Naxos | XerJoff" by Xerjoff, it was clear to me:
I absolutely had to explore more highlights from this renowned brand.

So I grabbed a 4-piece sample kit, consisting of "Oud Stars - Alexandria II (Parfum) | XerJoff", "Accento | XerJoff" and "Join The Club - 40 Knots | XerJoff", to send my olfactory senses on an exciting journey. However, the fourth free spot in my sample kit remained a mystery to me - I chose the Tony Iommi without giving it much thought. I had never heard of this fragrance before or even looked at the scent directions. In short, it served as a "gap filler".

Full of anticipation, I waited a few days and could hardly wait to discover these highly acclaimed fragrances. As soon as the parcel carrier rang, I already had the first sample in my hand. But to be honest, my initial reaction was rather subdued - perhaps my expectations had simply been set too high. I sat there, surrounded by "Accento | XerJoff", "Oud Stars - Alexandria II (Parfum) | XerJoff" and "Join The Club - 40 Knots | XerJoff", and thought slightly humbly: "Yes, these are beautiful fragrances, but none of them have really blown me away yet."

So now it was the turn of the last sample, which I wasn't expecting much from anyway, as it only served as a filler. I unpacked it and sprayed it on - WHOAAA!!!!!

From the very first spritz of this fragrance, I was overwhelmed by its intensity and depth. The top note instantly transported me to a bath of rum with overripe passion fruit in it.

After about 10 minutes, I got out of this "rum bath", dried myself off and enjoyed a delicious passion fruit cocktail, to which the bartender had added a small sip of the finest rum. At the same time, a pleasant leather note developed, accompanied by a hint of caramel.

When the long day at the "fragrance pool" finally came to an end, a dark, but at the same time sweet and very warm caramel note remained on the skin.

I am always fascinated by how the fragrance constantly evolves over the course of the day, constantly revealing new facets of its identity. However, it is unmistakably Tony Iommi at every stage.

In the end, I found my favorite fragrance in a very unexpected way.
Xerjoff's Tony Iommi absolutely impressed me with its incomparable complexity and sensual depth and will certainly always have a permanent place in my fragrance collection. This fragrance is a true masterpiece that must be experienced to understand its magic. If you haven't tried this fragrance, you've missed out. Unique!
