Clean Freak
Well, what can I say, I've done it again, a blind buy. This time I took advantage of a discount at a well-known online retailer and snagged the Casamorati "Casamorati - Fiero | XerJoff" and "Casamorati - Fiore d'Ulivo (Eau de Parfum) | XerJoff," which I had been keeping an eye on for a while.

I find it pleasing that Casamorati makes it easier for me by offering the fragrances in 30ml. Given the number of bottles and decants I have, I generally try to stick to smaller quantities to keep my expenses in check (yes, I know it's commercially illogical compared to 100ml). I have a threshold when a bottle costs well over €200; I tend to shy away from blind buys in those cases.

So, the two made it into my cart for just under €60 each, and yesterday the package arrived at my door.

Both fragrances come in a very appealing artistic box that somewhat resembles a book, despite the small bottle size. The bottle, in my case, is a bit less spectacular than the large 100ml option but still very valuable and attractively designed.
The only small downside from my perspective is the sprayer, which could be a bit finer in its distribution. Others do that better.

Now onto the scent itself. Having been forewarned by numerous reviews and statements, I went straight in with 6 sprays.
The fragrance has a wonderful fresh opening with lemon and basil; it is one of those typical "feel-good scents." You quickly realize who wants to be the star here, and who would have thought it, it's the olive blossom.
To my shame, I must admit that I had never smelled one before, and I was a bit worried that it might smell like a pickled olive from the tapas bar next door. But no worries, that's not the case.
The scent is truly a pleaser. It immediately envelops you in a creamy fresh feeling of cleanliness, and it is just pleasant. Nothing about the scent is really disturbing or off-putting. And, as has often been reviewed before, it simply gives a feeling of having just stepped out of the bath (in the most positive sense).
There is a shower gel from Palmolive, Naturals Olive and Milk, which somewhat reminds me of "Casamorati - Fiore d'Ulivo (Eau de Parfum) | XerJoff," or rather, the Casamorati would be the niche version of it.
In terms of genre, I would also place it on a shelf with my beloved "Marzocco (Eau de Parfum) | Roberto Ugolini," as I also have that clean, fresh-creamy feeling there.

However, the longevity is another point I want to highlight positively.
I applied the fragrance yesterday around 12:00, and now, as I sit here almost 24 hours later, I can still perceive the scent quite clearly on me. I didn't even spray it on clothing, just on my upper body. The sillage or projection is sufficient, and I would describe it as moderate+. Actually perfect.
I also agree with most that it is a unisex fragrance that has no tendency toward either gender, completely in the golden middle.
I see it as something I can wear year-round and as quite an all-rounder in terms of situations, because who doesn't like to smell well-groomed and clean while still having that certain something from the olive blossom?

In summary, "Casamorati - Fiore d'Ulivo (Eau de Parfum) | XerJoff" is one of my most positive discoveries of the last few months and is making its way into my personal Top 10.

Equal but Unequal
After I had some issues with my Interlude Man sample in everyday life and heard comments like "it smells kind of burnt, disgusting..." it unfortunately disappeared into oblivion. Although I liked it, it was special, but one quickly realized that either you have to not care what others think or the possible occasions shrink enormously. At least in classic German territory :-) Now I had the chance, thanks to a nice Parfumo, to get a leftover bottle of the often-cited Interlude Black Iris and I did it again. Blind buy. In the worst case, a beautiful bottle would adorn the collection for a long time and be used just as little as its brother. Curiously, I opened the box and sniffed at the spray head. "Yes, I know this scent, it smells exactly like its brother" were my first thoughts. Then... sprayed... Yes, there is hardly any difference... somehow equal... but wait... no, not really... or is it?... but then it becomes clearer - it differs and develops softer, more harmonious, the iris does its job and makes it equal/unequal to its brother. It never loses its identity, stays very close to Interlude but simply makes it a bit more pleasing, exactly what I had hoped for -> Equal, but somehow unequal
Longevity and sillage are perfect for a scent that belongs to the evening hours and going out for most. It stays slightly under "too much" in the sillage and is wonderfully present. On my skin, it lasts >15h, on clothing several days.
For me, it is close to perfect and the better choice within the Interlude duo (I haven't sniffed the 53 yet)
Dare to try it if you want a beautifully complex oriental scent that stands out without being too much of a nuisance.

Ungrau - 50 shades of summer
...maybe not 50, but at least a few yellow-orange ones...

Hey, this doesn’t really fit Martin... it’s not gray at all. In fact, it’s the complete opposite.

Greyfruit is, if it were a color, clearly light orange. It’s a really great summer fragrance that immediately transports you mentally to vacation. I see myself in an unbuttoned linen shirt and swim shorts somewhere in Italy in the greenery. Not by the sea, but rather on a lovely terrace with a pool and a lounge chair.

There are undeniable strong similarities to Afternoon Swimmer, which is a good thing, because the expensive fleeting brother is also excellent in terms of scent. All the good genes are reflected here, I even find it a bit more natural, but what is most important to me is that it is significantly more long-lasting! That was also one of the main reasons why I didn’t go for the A.S. (except for a 10ml decant).
Here, you can expect a very decent sillage and, for a fragrance in this category, really good longevity.

The ingredients seem to be of high quality; I don’t find anything disturbing.
The opening is also a smile-on-your-lips driver, this wonderful bitter-fresh fruity good mood wave is just fun. There is indeed a real risk that the vacation budget might suffer, but that’s okay, because if the weather should lack during the vacation, I can counteract with this.

Bravo Martin, unexpected fragrance, I’d love to see more of such "Ungrau" creations.... Maybe something with violet ;-)

-2004-
This is once again a review that doesn't really dissect the fragrance but describes a picture. The picture is titled 2004 - it depicts a youthful, dynamic man in his early 20s. He sits proudly in his first private office, having just completed his training as a merchant as the best in his class and landed his first real job. The office is surrounded by expensive new cars from Bavaria, with the clientele mostly well-off. Accordingly, he wants to present himself well to the customers. Even before starting his professional life, shirts, ties, and even a suit or two were procured from the local store. Now he just needed the right fragrance, as he had only known Axe Alaska or at most the Hugo and Boss Bottled he received for Christmas. But those didn't quite fit. He wanted to smell pleasant, not too overpowering, more like freshly washed. Clean and pleasant. Shortly thereafter, he smelled a fragrance on the new intern that expressed exactly that. He went straight over and asked, but the intern didn't know the name of the fragrance and brought the bottle the next day. Quickly scribbled on a Post-it "Issey Miyake" and after work, he dashed to the perfume store. Of course, he went for the large bottle right away. Every day four or five sprays before starting work…. Second bottle, third bottle…. Proudly used for 5-6 years until the day X when he just couldn't wear it anymore…. Issey overload! Fast forward 20 years later… Still a merchant, a perfume collection with 50+ fragrances, and always on the lookout for that one scent. Guess what has just arrived for me today…. MY fragrance, that is ME because it can bring a very colorful chapter of my life to my mind's eye in milliseconds. It makes me happy and yes, it still fits incredibly well in so many scenarios, especially when I want to feel good and clean and on top of that, a little ego boost. Thank you, Issey :-)

Where Have You Been All These Years
For years, I only knew the Platinum Egoiste by hearsay. Something always held me back from testing it. Finally, as part of a larger Souk order, I actually just ordered it to refill, and it turned out to be the secret king of the order. Perhaps also because the expectations were low. Upon spraying it, the thought of a signature scent immediately came to my mind. It combines everything I am looking for. Freshness, elegance, presence without being intrusive, a certain "nobility," if that word exists. I can always wear you without weighing whether you fit. Office, leisure, formal occasions... you will always fit, and people will like and notice you because, despite your adaptability, you bring a spark of something special. A top discovery, even though you have existed for a long time. Next, I will test your non-platinum Egoist brother.
