Extrait ≠ better
I love the classic Baccarat Rouge, this fragrance is simply special to me: warm, classy, with a scent of burnt sugar and wild strawberry. That's why I was very curious about this version. Unfortunately, it disappointed me.
For the first time, I perceive notes here that I usually never smell: Iodine, hospital, bandages... things that others sometimes describe in the original, but that I could never relate to - until now. The scent seems cool, sterile and somehow unpleasant to me.
What a pity! I prefer to stick with the eau de parfum. For me, it's much more harmonious and simply nicer to wear. However, if you like exactly this "medical" direction, you might like this version, but unfortunately it's not for me.

Warm fig branch in a cashmere scarf
My first encounter with Clifton was completely unplanned. I had never heard of the fragrance or the brand and was simply given a bottle as a gift. I sprayed it on my skin without looking at the fragrance notes beforehand and was immediately struck by an intense green fig.
To be honest, this opening unsettled me for a moment. The fig was so present that I didn't immediately know whether the fragrance would really suit me. Very green and a little earthy (?)
But after a short time, everything became softer. The fig faded into the background and a gentle, very pleasant cardamom note came through. Not a sweet, spicy cardamom like in pastries, but a light, almost floating accord, very calm and soft.
Later, when I looked up the fragrance notes, I could also detect the peach. Some compared it to peach sparkling wine, but for me that doesn't quite apply. I don't sense any effervescence or citrus notes. For me, Clifton feels more like a thin, soft cashmere scarf, warm, light and enveloping.
After the intense start, what remains is a quiet, elegant fragrance that blends wonderfully into everyday life.
I think Clifton is a wonderful fragrance for mild weather, like spring or early fall. Whether it's warm and cozy enough for winter, I don't know yet. Nor do I know how it will behave on very hot days. But at the moment it accompanies me in the evenings in a very pleasant, enveloping way.

Cute but wearable
"What About Pop" really surprised me. I initially thought the fragrance would be too sweet, maybe even a little heavy, but it's much more wearable than I expected. The blend of sweet popcorn, vanilla and warm, creamy notes is very pleasant. It feels cozy and inviting, yet it doesn't feel too heavy or overpowering. You can wear it in everyday life, but it also goes well in the evening. A special fragrance that stands out without being too loud. I now wear it much more often than I would have thought. Funnily enough, I don't really have any associations with the cinema. Simply a very beautiful gourmand. The cream note is very present, I particularly like it.

This is THE fragrance
For me, Tobacolor is not a fragrance that I would wear myself. But it's definitely the fragrance I like to smell on a man.
I mainly smell tobacco, but not too intense or bitter. It's really pleasant and reminds me of a cozy evening at home, snuggled up in a blanket, maybe in front of the fireplace. There is also this sweet, almost sticky honey note, but in a very natural way. It smells like real honey, not at all soapy or artificial. No skincare honey, i.e. without milk notes, but really genuine and warm. The plum is barely there, very slightly in the background. It's such a special blend: sweet, spicy, deep, but not too much.
For me, Tobacolor has something very masculine, almost seductive. It's a fragrance that stays with me, that I can't forget. And honestly? I think I could fall in love with someone just because of this fragrance.

Tea with rusk and lemon
This was my very first scent of Kerosene and I was really surprised by how much it touched me. When I smelled it for the first time, I immediately thought of the house I lived in as a child. Especially the kitchen, where there was an old wooden cupboard where we used to keep sweets.
The scent smells exactly like this moment to me: you're sitting at the table, drinking black tea with lemon and eating the sweets, those sugared lemon slices made from jelly that look like little slices of fruit and taste sweet and sour. Maybe you don't see them everywhere, but they totally remind me of my childhood. Then there are also rusks with raisins and a few spicy gingerbread biscuits. All nice and sweet and a little spicy, but not too overpowering.
But what makes the fragrance really special is this wooden cupboard. It may sound strange, but when something has been in a wooden cupboard for a long time, it takes on a very specific smell. Slightly dusty, a little old, but in a cozy, familiar way. And that's exactly what the fragrance brings with it. This warm, slightly musty woody note that is totally homely.
For me, the perfume is like a little trip back in time to my childhood. Sweet, warm, a little dusty, but in the very best sense.
