So, it’s that time again - reaching into the fragrance drawer, this time a costly grab :)
On Friday, I met up with my girlfriend; we just wanted to stroll around the city and then go out for a bite to eat. So, I reached for something "sweet," as it always fits and I simply felt like it.
That’s when I had the "Black Collection - II (Parfum) | Widian / AJ Arabia" in my hand, which I managed to snag at the souk some time ago.
It wasn’t my first time wearing it, but the first time it didn’t really stand out, and I wasn’t completely convinced (that was in the cinema, a few days earlier)..
So, the scent is on, I feel great, and I slowly get ready to head out. Then that incredibly beautiful plum scent came back, really sweet-oriental with a nice plum cake association. I think the mandarin contributes a slightly spicy-fruity note to the plum, and all of that is enveloped in a wonderful vanilla.
However, I must say that I don’t perceive anything woody - at least not yet; sometimes you have to wear fragrances a bit more often to uncover everything :)
So, I set off, initially a bit "disappointed" by the performance; with this DNA, I simply wish for a stronger presence. After all, I want to smell such a great DNA all the time!
"Well," I thought, and was just curious about how I would perceive it throughout the day or late afternoon and especially how long it would last.
Once in the city, no comments about the scent - I figured that I couldn’t really smell it anymore.
After a few hours, we then went to the restaurant..
Arriving, I took off my jacket and sat down - that’s when it happened.
I suddenly found myself in such a pleasant cloud of fragrance that was revived every time I moved, which just made me... yes... happy! I immediately had memories of
Isola Blu Parfum in my head (completely different direction, of course) where I experienced the same phenomenon. You can perceive it, but not strongly, rather gently - it only comes into the nose and radiates to people nearby when you move (at least for me - amazing!).
So we sat there, had a wonderful evening, and delicious food - including drinks.
Now, finally, a reaction came:
S: "Hey, what fragrance are you wearing today?"
"That's the one I wore in the cinema too"
S: "Really? But you couldn’t smell it there" (I was wearing a turtleneck sweater)
"I wanted to give it another chance today; otherwise, I would have worn something else"
S: "Very good, I like it! It’s really very pleasant. I want to come closer"
I can really confirm this "very pleasant"; for me, it’s actually the perfect scent for dates for two or when you’re in a cozy gathering.
I assume that the fragrance is intended for such purposes. Because with this scent, you really have to get a bit closer to smell it, but anyone who has had the chance to test this fragrance will know why you want to get closer! :)
In summary:
A truly beautiful and, above all, rounded fragrance! For me, it’s a "private scent" since you have to invade a bit into the personal space to smell this creation.
A composition where the plum takes center stage and evokes thoughts of a plum cake, all enveloped in a beautiful soft and warming vanilla.
For those looking for a fragrance that is not intrusive and certainly won’t clash anywhere, but can be sweet.
For those moments for two, where the world around you can also take a pause.
For those who want to be seduced by a fragrance.
