Why are you so hated?
I really don't understand it.
Dior Sauvage - also: "The most hated perfume ever"?
Yes, the Dior Sauvage range (with the exception of Elixir) certainly doesn't contain anything particularly exciting or new. The DNA is well known and has been worn for a few years now. So what? If you want to smell unique, then you should stay away from Sauvage (I repeat:
Sauvage Elixir excluded) but if you are looking for a perfume that should simply "work" then you are not wrong with Sauvage? Or?
You can wear it to the office, on a date, in the evening with friends, at home, at family gatherings, just Ü-B-E-R-A-L-L and it gives compliments, should you not now find yourself in the middle of a mass of Sauvage wearers. Perfumes that work and are not utopianly expensive are bought more and more by the masses in the perfume cycle - until every second person has it.
But that doesn't make it a bad fragrance.
I prefer the EdP version, as it is a little fresher and lasts best on my skin, but the perfume is nevertheless a synthetic-fresh-woody perfume suitable for everyday use, which also has a nice tangerine note and later turns spicy-creamy - designed for every occasion.
I'll never understand why this is hated so much. If you don't like it, don't wear it, but don't have a fragrance just because of the masses who wear it. Dior Sauvage remains a great perfume to start with, especially as a teenager. Are there better ones? Yes! Are there underground worse ones? Yes! And that's the point why I find the hate so unfair.

Oriental at its finest
Originally, I only wanted to order the
Shaghaf Oud Ahmar Eau de Parfum
However, a friend then "recommended" this fragrance to me.
Well, recommended is the wrong word, let's just say we both have similar tastes and the fragrance pyramid appealed to him (so it may have appealed to me too)
In the end, the Aswad ended up in my shopping cart, ordered, delivered, sniffed and fell in love. I was fascinated. There's no better way to put it.
The
Shaghaf Oud Aswad is a wonderful rose oud fragrance, just like its original but with more oriental, spice & an above-average H/S.
(it lasted about 14-16 hours on my skin and a good 30+ hours on my clothes)
It fills the room and people will smell you!
-A friend described it as "a more pleasant version of its original."
If you like the classic
Shaghaf Oud Eau de Parfum, the Aswad is therefore a possible blind buy.
If you like spicy oriental fragrances, the BlindBuy is also an option and if you don't know oriental fragrances yet but want to take the first step, the Aswad is definitely suitable for finding out whether you like the fragrance direction, as it is super pleasing and, in my opinion, very suitable for the masses.
After a few sprays, I also noticed certain parallels with
Oud Satin Mood Eau de Parfum - one of my favorite perfumes.
What do I say about the price? For around €35 for 75ml, it's a bang for the buck.
It looks more expensive than it is. The bottle is nothing special, the black design matches the contents and the plastic lid, doesn't have to be, but doesn't bother me at all - the least of my worries, especially for this price range.
Definitely another recommendation from me.

Lataffa surprises me again and again
I got to know the fragrance through social media and looked at the opinions of others directly on Parfumo. The few who have rated it so far are unanimous.
Incredible 8.8 rating at the time, so I didn't think twice and ordered it. It arrived today and I think it's really great.
It's creamy / slightly animalic from the start & retains this character after hours.
*Inserted update* -> The animalic character is no longer very noticeable on me personally after around 4-5 hours. The fragrance is now creamier and simply smells pleasant / pleasing.
Performance is great, I didn't really notice it after 1-2 hours but I was told earlier that you can smell it in the whole room - pleasant, not penetrating and too intrusive. How Lattafa manages to produce something like this at a ridiculously low price remains a real mystery to me. For people who already know (and like) animalic fragrances, this would probably be a pretty safe blind buy.
Do you want to venture into the world of oud fragrances?
Then you certainly have a perfume here with which you can make your first experiences.
All in all, a very good fragrance (even considering the price), which I will be taking a closer look at over the next few days. If I notice anything else interesting, I'll post an update early next week.

Good cheapie for quick use
I bought the SOTRSD back then mainly for use in the gym
A work colleague showed it to me at the time and I was really impressed for the price. It has a super fruity, citrusy fragrance that is pleasant and not too intrusive on the skin. Unfortunately, the longevity leaves a lot to be desired - but for the price, there's not much to complain about.
It lasts a good 3-4 hours on me - which I find more than enough for the gym or for a quick application if you want to go out again spontaneously in the evening.
Unfortunately, I cannot confirm the similarity to LV "Imagination", as I am not yet familiar with this fragrance. But the SOTRSD has definitely encouraged me to get to know the original as soon as possible.

My entry into the niche world
Naxos was my first niche perfume - a blind buy at that - but what can I say... I can no longer imagine my collection without it. With this perfume I got my first waves of compliments, "head-turners" on the street or questions about "what smells so good here". This spicy sweetness paired with a fresh start make Naxos what it is. A unique fragrance! Despite the masses who wear it today, Naxos will always have a place in my collection and be my "go to" fragrance when I don't know what to wear today. In my more rural area, I've only ever smelled it on myself anyway. A blind purchase that I am glad to have made and will never regret.
