Flower aldehyde bomb
Ame de Fleur starts out as an aldehyde bomb, reminiscent of linen and sheets fresh out of the dryer - then right as you smell the newly-washed fabric, the lingering heat from the dryer is accompanied by the warmest, most potent combination of tuberose and jasmine. This is perfect for spring 2026 and will definitely be a popular scent among my fellow aldehyde girlies.

A dreamy, distant childhood
When I first smelled L'eau Papier, it brought me back to a strange time in my childhood that perhaps lies between a memory and fantasy. I immediately picked up on the rice note, more so the steam that comes from it cooking. However, the real star here, imo, is the yellow floral. The mimosa is delicate and powdery, which is carried through each spritz by the steam. I imagine a childhood in which I sneakily pop open the lid to my mother's rice cooker, expecting a cloud of steam to rise up, only to be met by a field of yellow mimosas that gently settle into my skin. There's nothing quite like L'eau Papier in my collection, which easily makes her one of my favourites.

Quiet elegance
Eau Duelle EDT is one of my favourites from Diptyque. On me, she settles as a skin musk with hints of frankincense that cuts through the sweetness of the bourbon vanilla. The result is a unique blend of sweet and herbal accords. For this very reason, I wear Eau Duelle on days when I want to feel put-together (sweet), or when life simply feels a little overbearing (spicy). I absolutely love the duality of this fragrance! Props to M. Pellegrin for this masterpiece.

One of the strongest gourmand contenders... if you let it sit for a year.
Vanilla 28 is a staple for me. I bought a full bottle last year and was only able to appreciate its complexity now. At first glance, the formula is see-through and looks to be quite watery. The first whiff is what I describe as a sweet, vanilla liquor, which evolves into a fluffy, vanilla, almost marshmallowey base. Longevity is about 4-6 hours, depending on where I spray.

A year later, the perfume has finally macerated into this beautiful dark purple, and that vanilla liquor scent is more pronounced. I get complimented a lot more; friends say they smell vanilla, others say it's more chocolatey. I think it's the brown sugar. Regardless, I think Vanilla 28 is one of the stronger contenders in the gourmand category. You just have to let her macerate.
