Grown up Cedrat Boise
I've had this perfume since february and Im only now writing a review because I didnt know quite well how to put into words my opinion on this one.
I had bought and used all of a
Cedrat Boise sample, and ive had really liked it, because it was quite zingy and sharp while still being fruity. And then I saw the comparisons to this one and how it was more or less a more refined or rounded version of the OG.
Having said that for me this scent is quite different to the original, while still having that energizing opening of citrus and blackcurrant is sort of deeper and has a smoky characteristic from the get go that I didnt quite get on the original.
Then this scent progresses to a looot more leathery and woody middle body, while the fruit takes more of a background compared to the original.
The drydown is more or less the same, but having those smoky and deep notes I guess one could attribute to the Oud, which its pretty well balanced.
I can see this fitting in almost every season because it has a little bit of everything, as with the original I mostly saw that being usable on spring or summer day or nights.
The duration its a lot better than the original, lasting on me at least 3-4 hours projecting well, and on my skin at least 10 hours.
I do recommend it, but I wouldnt say its redundant to have both this and the original, as I feel the original is a bit more laid back or informal so to say. Another good experience with the house of Mancera

Nice vacation on the caribean
For me this really doesnt smell like a traditional suummerlike scent (citrusy and watery notes), this really reminds me of the time I went on vacation to the Caribe.
For me this encapsulates perfectly the sensation of coming from the beach or an excursion, the smell of some salt in my clothes plus sunscreen, showering and then drying with the hotel towels.
The duration is pretty ok on me, lasting some 6-7 hours and projecting for about 2 strongly.
I would see this fitting for spring/summer, relaxed clothing.
I really like this,I might buy a bottle as I just have a 5ml sample that I have almost used it all.

Sour fig
I bought this one a while ago, and the first times I wore this one I did enjoy it, because I do like fig, and this one has a deeper, more woody take on fig ( it is listed as fig wood instead of the fig fruit itself).
But lately for me, the opening has turned into this sort of unpleasant accord, I wouldn't know how to describe it but is deeply acrid to my nose, like a sharp algae smell.
And that that sharp, acrid smell lingers on my skin for the whole duration of the scent itself, rather than opening sharp and then turning into a combination of deeply marine and woody notes.
Maybe I perceive it this way now because my nose became more sensitive, or my taste in general changed a bit.
Oh but the longevity and sillage is the strongest one of any fragance that I have ever tried/owned.

Great opening, not so great development
I bought this one for 2 reasons, I wanted a sort of long lasting party fragance and the fact that it was rated as sort of a challenging or quirky scent.
The opening is deeply herbal, its like smelling a hemp plant up close, but doesnt really smell like a joint or ashtray as people would make you believe, this goes with some grapefruit that makes it sort of fresh at the same time.
Later on I get some spicy notes, I atribute this to the pepper and I guess geranium, which I really don't know how it smells. This get complemented by some leather too, that gives it additional depth.
This last for about 30-45 minutes on my skin, at which point I really like it.
But then as the scent progresses, I get this sort of bizarre sweet notes that i cant distinguish much.
And then it hit me that I had smelled this accord a bunch of times at nightclubs, and that i dont really like it.
I guess this is what people refer to designer sweet or CH sweetness, which is a shame because for the first hour I really do like it.
I ended up trading it, because of the drydown. I'm just not a fan of cloyingly sweet abrasive accords that remind me of nightclubs. But I can see people that like more potent or do care about longevity liking this one.

Unexpectedly good
Lately I've been clearing/trading my collection, and ive got this one on a trade, I really didnt expect much because this version didnt really have as much repercusion as the other flankers from the Uomo line, or as much repercusion like the Intense version.
Now with that said this on me smells like a really similar scent to
Dior Homme Original (2011) Eau de Toilette , something I've been looking for a long time.
The iris in this one is really lipsticky, similar to both Dior Homme and Homme Intense, but its a bit lighter and airy, something I dont really mind.
It opens up with this sort of citrus and fresh lemon notes, something that caught me offguard, but later turns into this beautifull iris and some vetiver, that gives it some depth.
Longevity wise I get 6 hours on skin, projecting nicely for about 2-3 hours.
I would say this is usable more on colder days or maybe warmer nights.
Pretty unique to other Uomo offerings.
