Cedrat Boise 2.0
First of all I would like to say that the Eau de Parfum Cedrat Boise is one of my absolute favorite perfumes on the market. It does it´s job very well, it is slightly citrussy, fruity but also woody .. in a combination which for me makes it really a winner.

When I heard a few weeks ago from Sebastian the Fragrance Guy that an Intense is coming, I was very excited about the idea and was really looking forward to test it, the Reflection 45 from Amouage had the same effect on me and you can see my review for that too.

Today I had the chance to test the Intense version and I like what I smell, more details about my review you can see in the video below. Thank you for watching.

Sour makes funny
The scent makes your mouth water - sounds paradoxical, because it's not at all gourmand. It's a reaction like when you bite into a lemon. I'm a fan of the fragrance - which is also paradoxical, as I usually find freshies boring and fragrances with a clearly masculine impact rarely inspire me.

After the lemon peel, it quickly becomes quite smoky, a development that you don't expect at first and which gives the fragrance that certain something.
It's nice that I discovered the fragrance, because these moments when you question your own taste are one of the best things about perfume for me.

It is very similar to the original…
… the average nose might not detect ANY difference at all.

I’m seeing conflicting reviews saying it isn’t as great a performer, but I feel there’s relativity to that statement.

On my skin, it’s not AS loud as the original in the opening, but it’s thicker and smoother all the way through. You can definitely tell they’re from the same DNA, and I don’t think you need both in your collection (but I’m glad I DO). The intense doesn’t project as much in the opening, but to me, is a better overall performer. That “thickness” lasts for an easy 8 hours, while the original backs off to a much softer degree, much earlier.

Is one better than the other? I honestly don’t think so. They both smell fantastic, and each has something that you might want on a different day. During the mid, the intense is heavenly.

The projection radius is a medium build, but once you enter that radius, it’s a THICK cloud. Sillage is also great, as that thickness sits for a decent timeframe, and longevity is also good, as I’m still smelling it a good 7-9hours after the initial sprays.

If you shoot a good 5-7 sprays, there’s nothing to be disappointed about, projection, sillage, and longevity will be great.

Signature scent for the cold season
Absolutely TOP. First of all, I'm completely new to writing reviews and would like to give it a try after reading along for a long time. I have tried many things for the cold season but this is simply the best. Even if you use it every day as a signature scent, it doesn't get boring. A few sprays in the morning and you can smell a beautiful woody but also slightly fruity dark lemon all day long. Whether for work or leisure or on a date. It always goes down well and I have already received a number of compliments thanks to it. I can only recommend everyone to try it out for themselves.

Mature
To sum up: A top fragrance for me, extremely profound and interestingly composed, in my eyes definitely suitable for more mature men (not necessarily just older ones).

About the fragrance: The combination of blackcurrant and citrus notes in the opening is very successful, not pungent and synthetic, but also not overly fresh for me, because the spicy, woody, leathery notes join in very quickly and the fruits leave again. In the heart note, I mainly smell the leather. Combined with the oud, this gives the fragrance a masculine, down-to-earth, mature impact, which for me is the most striking feature of Intense Cedrat Boise. The vanilla in the base note is definitely there, pleasantly warm, but not too much in the foreground for me.

Overall very masculine, concise, signature-worthy. Sillage and longevity are very good - I filled the entire room with the fragrance with two sprays on my wrist while playing darts, although I also throw with my right hand ;-)

For me, despite my thoroughly positive impression, it's not a candidate for purchase because I'm not quite comfortable with leather and oud fragrances yet. Perhaps that will be different in a few years when I reach the age of 30. Regardless of my personality, I see this fragrance on a mature and down-to-earth man, and I imagine a leather coat. With this association, I see it directly in the cold season, and for my taste it belongs there rather than in the summer, but it can probably be worn all year round.

Thicker than the original, but longer lasting and more masculine. I absolutely love this. A no brainer of a purchase and possible signature.

Comparing with the original, there is more citrus and less blackcurrant in the opening. The scent is less sweet and the leather is weaker.

Bolder/smoother take on the OG; very well done all-year frag that shines in the cooler months. A bit synthetic in the top and mid.

It produces the same sensations as the original. Some different shades. It is more marketing than new proposal.
