What are YOUR favourite patchoulis?

Being fairly new to fragrances, I realised that I have no idea what patchouli smells like. It is an ingredient in some of the perfumes I own, but I wouldn’t be able to single it out if my life depended on it. It is said to be earthy, woody, musky, and somewhat sweet. But I still can’t distinguish it lol. 

I’d like to know what your favourite patchouli heavy/centered unisex/fem perfumes are.

If you want to figure out what patchouli smells like, go to smell some patchouli oil.  Patchouli oil will have the full spectrum of patchouli scents which you then most often end up smelling in partial isolation in perfumes.

That’s a really good idea! I’ll go straight to the source, and smell the essential oil. 

@Rojabird I suggest you to try patchouli essential oil in bath, diffuser, skincare etc. to get an idea what pure patchouli smells like ☺️

My personal favourite is the earthy type patchouli like in Dark - Excess No. 28 👌
