Mango Perfume? (with several conditions)

Hi all,

I am looking for mango perfume recommendations, but there are several caveats:

1. I do not like 99% of gourmands

2. I don't like sweet smells (Fruity kind of sweet is ok! Vanilla is a NO; Praline is a VERY BIG NO)

3. I get headaches from synthetic sharp smells

4. My skin tends to eat the mango note sometimes 🙄 so it has to be prominent; for example, Salted Green Mango had ZERO mango on my skin; the only perfume where I smelled at least a bit of mango so far is Timbuktu (but I haven't tried many mango perfumes, so I want to believe there at least one out there that will work for me!)

5. Should not be overly floral (no dominant frangipani or any yellow florals)

I wonder if any of you could recommend something that checks all these boxes?

The brand doesn't matter, could be designer, niche, indie, cheapie, anything. The mango note can be green, regular, mango jam, mango peel, whatever.

Although slightly synthetic , though I wouldn’t say sharp unless you wear it in the freezing cold winter outside then maybe it could come across that way, but this is a summer fragrance imo, Polo Deep Blue has an absolutely beautiful green mango in it and is what makes me love that fragrance.

Cruz del Sur II smells just like a mango lassi. It's lactonic and creamy rather than straight-up sweet

I also don't get any mango from Salted Green Mango. Un Jardin sur le Nil Eau de Toilette has also a little bit of mango. I personally don't smell any of it.

Do you like the combination of mango and leather? Stephan Humbert Lucas has several perfumes on this category for example Soleil de Jeddah Mango Kiss.

A more fruity-fresh would bel Mango Skin sadly, it dissapears after 2 hours.

I really like Or du Sérail with the mango and wax combo.

A fruit bomb with coconut are Summer Hammer or Miami Sunrise

Maybe Dirty Mango Eau de Parfum ? It is a juicy, ripe mango with a natural sweetness, not the green, tart kind. I am not sure if it will be too sweet for you, but it is a gorgeous, realistic mango pulp scent. The less sweet, clean mango is Moonlight in Heaven, it's mango blended with citrus and soft musk, so, it is gentle and not overly sweet.

I was going to suggest this one, too. Mango is a tough one! I haven't tried many fragrances with it and those that I have tried have been gourmand. Moonlight in Heaven is a good choice and worth sampling if you can, though. I think it might check all those boxes.

Yeah, you might be worried about the base note, but the vanilla is added as "sugar", so there's no milky sweetness. There's not a single floral note, and it feels like you're being showered with mango juice.

The downside is that it's hard to obtain. I have one, and it's very comfortable in the summer.
