Rich, slightly animalic mango. Not a fresh summer scent!

Starts off very fruity, lovely ripe mango (which is naturally a bit perfumey and musky). Middle stage: slightly powdery floral, musky. Any civet in here is very subtle. This is a really rich scent, rather than a fresh one, and despite the fruitiness I would not say it’s a summer scent. It reminds me a bit of Molinard’s Nirmala.

Starts out with a very bright, loud, sweet-not-tart synthetic mango but spreads, takes shape, grows into something wonderful. After a few hours the mango is joined by something floral. By the end of the day that is replaced with a warm musk. This reminds me of the moment just after the sun has dipped below the horizon and the sky is still painted with the colors of the sunset.

Juicy Mango

This is a sweet mango where you bite in and the juice is dripping off of your chin. A little bit of tartness from the blackberry and it slowly becomes more floral, but always sweet. Its a nice change from the rest of the Vilhelm fragrances I have tried. This one has personality, it stands out while still being polite enough to wear to work. Its kinda summer fragrance, in that it is fresh and fruity but I typically prefer something a little more bold for summer days. I couldn't get much of a dry down and the longevity is only 4 hours on my skin. Its a $175 for 50ml and $250 for 100ml. Its pretty expensive and while I like this fragrance, I don't love it enough for either price.

A unique gourmand beauty

I am so grateful to the sales assistant who recommended this to me, as it's not something I would have tried on my own.

As everyone has said, the opening of this is a blast of sweet, syrup mango. It's tropical and warm for about two hours on me, after which it dries down to a gorgeous sweet vanilla musk. I'm not the biggest fan of musk notes normally, but this is so sweet and light, I can't help but love it.

On me it's a very intimate skin scent, with little sillage after the mango top notes die down, but decent longevity (7 hours or so).

Beautifully crafted, well balanced, unusual gourmand. I'm in love.

Sweet and thick nectar-like mango

This is not a fresh mango scent for summer. It's a very sweet, think thick nectar-like mango juice fit for colder weather due to its very apparent sweetness. Probably what I wanted Fame Eau de Parfum to smell like.

The beginning is very mango forward: I see myself biting down a ripe mango with its juices dripping down my chin. Sweet, juicy, fruity and a bit overwhelming if I'm being honest. Blackberry adds some tartness while black pepper offers a lovely depth and dimension to the scent. As it moves forward, mango is ever so present, but I start getting florals. Creamy jasmine and a slightly powdery and fresh iris. I also start getting some very strong sweetness, probably from the sugar and the vanilla. Vanilla gives sugary warmth to the fragrance while patchouli is very subtle and adds a little bit of woodiness at the edge of the scent.

Overall it's a nice fruity fragrance featuring mango, but I found it a tad too sugary sweet to my nose. It's more of an in-your-face-fragrance than what I'm used to from Vilhelm Parfumerie. i'm also trying to figure out what fruits I wish to wear on my skin and I'm starting to realize mango might not be one of them. I do suggest you try it out for yourself though!
