I have been really looking forward to getting this and now have the perspective from both wearer and being around someone who is wearing it and find that they are two very different experiences.
When I first sprayed it on myself on the day of delivery I got a wonderful blast of so many beautiful fruity sweet notes that I fell in love with instantly.
Throughout the first few hours I experienced several different stages of differing notes like I was on a journey and with each destination came a different scent and with each one a different level of projection. After the journey was over I ended up with a familiar smell which was one also from Lorenzo being his
Pax which became a very low projection that did however last with me until the following day.
Some of the stages were one of an aquatic marine scent, another of woods, one of sweet fruits, one of creamy coconut but finally setting along the lines as
Pax I tried it again a few days later and this time I had sprayed on my clothes along with skin and this gave me a different experience where I got a more linear scent of a creamy coconut scent but also experiencing the changes I had the first time I wore it on skin only. The linear side coming from my clothes and the subtle changes from where I had sprayed on skin.
Today I decided to spray on my dad as I was trying to help a member of the community with just how strong the sillage and longevity is when perceiving from being someone around the wearer and personally I wasn’t too happy with my findings. The first hour or so was good. I could tell when my dad had been in the room with me and I could smell the fragrance when I was standing right next to him. For context I had sprayed his front and back of his neck and one of his wrists.
What I could smell was a sweet PAX with some coconut. So it was nice and sweet. When he left the room the scent would go within a minute.
After I had done some things around the house we all gathered in the living room to eat supper and I couldn’t smell it on him at all. This was 2hrs after spraying. I then went to give him a cup of tea following him to his den and I got a tiny whiff of sweetness but I really had to search for it. I asked my mum what she thought of the fragrance he was wearing and her response was “what fragrance” she couldn’t smell it. I asked if she could earlier to which she said she was busy preparing for guests coming the next day so was too busy to pay attention. This is a big let down to me because this says that only because I knew he was wearing it did I know to search for the smell when I could smell it earlier and if it had been strong enough like Lorenzo’s other fragrances it wouldn’t have mattered how busy my mum was, she would have smelled it anyway.
So we have a very different experience for the wearer and those around him or her since this is definitely a unisex fragrance.
I like the smell on skin a lot but I feel a little let down knowing how great his fragrances usually perform.
I am wondering if this is just a bad batch because it was sold out very quickly and maybe mine needs time to strengthen as it must be a new batch after selling out, right?
The thing is summer is here now and I want to wear it now while we are having a BBQ out in the sun but if I have to respray every couple of hours that is a lot of spraying for such an expensive product.
I would love to hear feedback from other users on their batch because I saw someone on fragrantica sell her bottle because it was too strong for her. I sit here now wishing I had her bottle. I also noticed someone else has rated their bottle for longevity and sillage very low. At first I thought it was a troll but now having experienced it as the person being around the wearer I don’t blame that person for their low rating of sillage because they too are probably expecting the usual strength Lorenzo’s fragrances are known for.
So what can I say here? I am of two minds. One where as the wearer I enjoy my first couple hours but then know that nobody is going to smell it on me after those two hours are up and the only way to smell it is to bring my wrist to my nose. Then at the same time I love that first 2 hours which I know people will smell from me but it is very close to
Pax so should I just wear that this summer and wait until next year hoping my bottle is stronger by then.
I honestly don’t know how to rate this because it is 2 very different experiences and as a person who loves strong fragrances I feel let down but as a wearer for 2 hours I love the different phases on skin.
I just sprayed on skin right now as I try figure out how I should rate this. And the scent itself to me is a 10/10 I adore it.
Today I don’t seem to be experiencing those changes i mentioned earlier with as much intensity as I did the first time I wore this and that could be that some of the notes were new to me but none the less I am still sensing changes in smell and projection.
As soon as I sprayed it though I went downstairs and walked past my mum and waited for a response. After prompted she said oh yeah I smell it now and as she got up she said ah yes I smell it when I walk through your trail so I asked again. Have you smelled that on dad today, her answer was still no and that was only 2hrs after spray that we were all in the same room so take from that what you will. Right now it is radiating from me but in 2 hours it will be a skin scent. So if you end up with my batch maybe stick with PAX if you know you are going to have a long active day but if you are going to be in a situation where you only need strong protection for a couple of hours Summer Hammer is for you. Then if like my friend who I am trying to help who finds PAX too strong this may be the answer for her and could be a perfect alternative. That is if the batches are indeed what is at play here or if what I have was the indeed intended outcome after all. Either way it smells great!
I have an update at the 2hr+ period and on myself after going down through the house to get a snack my mum says it is very strong coming from me. I have an idea what could be going on here and it is very likely that it has been a very sunny day here and my dad was out in the sun all afternoon while when I sprayed it it had started to cool down in the evening so this is something to take in to consideration when deciding what to wear and when.
I hope this helps with the different ratings of sillage we are seeing.

Sillage Hr 1-2 9/10 After 2hrs is a 3/10 (skin scent)
Longevity 10/10 Skin scent or not the wearer should smell it the next day
Bottle 8/10 Better with the pictures on them.
Value 8/10 They ran out of 50ml bottles from their vendor and are using 65ml bottles and in doing so are adding a little extra. I got this from talking to the store I bought it from and is in a live stream on YouTube where Lorenzo is a guest talking about this release.
