Blind bought | Opinions?

Never blind buy team, but...

I blind bought the following perfumes, what do you think about them? I bought them based on similarities on notes on perfumes I like.

Art of Arabia I - Clone of Imagination

I have high hopes but as always with the blind buys (especially middle-eastern perfumes) never have expectations ^^'

I blind bought Lumière Garçon (clone of The One Luminous Night ), Liam (clone of Gris Charnel Extrait ) and Détour Noir (clone of Layton ) and ended up veeeery happy with the results, to the point I am making these perfumes basically my main perfumes (I have a small collection tho, around 15 perfumes).

Please share your thoughts!

I always at least try to get samples. I have only blind bought two bottles, and they were both a success. Based on my research, I was pretty sure I'd like them, and I do. But they're definitely not "safe" blind buys.

Both of these are raunchy and delightful and right up my alley.

I would probably blind buy more vintage stuff if I got a good price.

I'm not familiar with the fragrances you ordered and I don't do clones either (I'm a snob). But it sounds like you've made out well blind buying clones! At least that way you probably sampled the originals so you have a good idea that you'll like them.

You are right, I should defo get samples before jumping into the unknown, but there's always something about this jump that makes it addicting to wrongdo ^^'.

That said, I did get the sample kit from Parfums de Marly, so I kind of knew I would like Détour Noir (even if I wasn't guaranteed it was close to the original Layton ).

I did not sample either The One Luminous Night or Lumière Garçon but to my surprise it's been one of my best purchases ever!

And yes I would definitely vote for buying always the originals, but my budget is not very extensive sadly, so I need to opt for the clones if I like some specific scent that I smelled on some perfume shop (I definitely shouldn't if I know I cannot afford them at the time!).

But this time I went completely blind! true blind buys.

They arrived!

#Paris corner - Emir Voux Zingy - Clone of "Torino21 | XerJoff" - I expected something similar to this in my mind, but it happens to be much less sweet and much more herbal and flowery than I pictured it. I like it, I don't dislike it, maybe I feel neutral about it for now, I will test it more times to see if I can make a better interpretation of it.

Art of Arabia I - Great! soapy with a cinamon-ey base (or at least that's how my brain decodes it for now). Very happy with this purchase!

Kind of yes! Now that you reminded me, let me spray them again to keep testing
