Hey ! I heard about Avignon, and it made me look for a church incense scent. If you have any recomendations, please let me know, I would be very interested !!

Hiiiii 😀 I loooove church incense scents, here are some that might interest you:
Of course, Filippo Sorcinelli does excellent incense, here are the ones I love:
Reliqvia - just a good Sorcinelli incense
Notre Dame Notte Di Natale - Incense and chocolate; very odd but good, inspired by the sacristy of Notre Dame
_Quando_rapita_in_estasi_ - Smells like an Eastern Orthodox church to me
LAVS - a good cold soapy incense
and some from other brands:
Liquides Imaginaires Sancti (lemon garden in front of the church)
Oriza L Legrand Relique d'Amour (an excellent melancholic damp church ruins scent)
Oriza L Legrand Reve d'Ossian (pleasant soapy incense)
Serge Lutens L'Orpheline (what I call a "baby ghost" incense)
Andrea Maack Craft (piercing cold; a church in the Arctic)
Ānti Bast (warm "ancient Egyptian temple" kinda incense with cardamom)
Necros Vivos Plango, Mortuous Voco (incredibly somber church scent)
L'Artisan Parfumeur Passage d'Enfer (a well-known and loved incense and lily scent)
Toskovat' Take Me to Church or Domus Numeni (the name says it all
; expensive though 🙄)
Jovoy La Liturgie des Heures (just a good church scent)
+1 for
La Liturgie des Heures
+1 for
Reliqvia. As far as church-adjacent scents go, it's by far the most elegant incense I've come across.

Series 3: Incense - Avignon and
LAVS are almost identical and don't really smell church-y to me (
Cardinal,
Full Incense and
Mortel are also in the same vein).
Attaquer Le Soleil - Marquis de Sade to me smells very close to the Orthodox incense blend I grew up smelling in Armenian churches.
I wanted to open a topic to ask about
Series 3: Incense - Avignon yesterday. For those who own it, do you find it wearable ? Some people say it smells too musty to be wearable. Is that true ?
