Quest for the Best Love Spell, Part 1: The Missing Note
The original Love Spell formula was created in 1999, and is still sold today - making it one of the longest-running Victoria's Secret fragrances.
But have you heard of the *mystery* fragrance note in Love Spell - not listed on the bottle, the Victoria's Secret website, or in fragrance forums?
A vintage bottle: one of the original formulations of Love Spell by Victoria's...

The Nostalgic Nose: Volume 1
One of my favorite childhood memories was saving up for my very first perfume purchase, and walking into the store to finally buy the bottle I'd been eyeing for a long time.
But somewhere between the new wonder of fragrance exploration and adulthood, fragrance lost its glimmer as I became absorbed with adult responsibilities. I lost touch with this side of myself, and forgot to invest time in this creative + worthwhile...

Battle of the Sweet Lilacs
For a long time, I've been trying to find a perfume-equivalent of the Pink Lilac & Vanilla candle from Bath & Body Works. It's sweet, soft, creamy, and cozy - but most lilac-forward perfumes I've come across are fairly green/earthy, and not as gourmand as I've been hoping for.
It's been a while since we've had a "face-off" between fragrances (like Battle of the Birthday Scents + Battle...

Favorite Spring Fragrances
Since many spring scents are "floral-forward", they can be polarizing in the fragrance community - as people often have strong feelings about different floral notes.
Despite the bulk of my fragrance wardrobe being gourmand, there are plenty of beautiful florals to enjoy. Some of my personal favorites include jasmine, peach blossom, and gardenia - and I especially love them combined with something sweet or "edible". 🍓

Favorite Freshie Fragrances
Beginning a new year, we often hear of "out with the old, in with the new" - but what about cleansing the palette of heavier holiday + cold weather scents? I think it's time for some "freshie" fragrances as part of the "new year, new you" restart!
As always, these are "cheapies" - so without further ado, here are some of my favorites from this scent profile:
1) "Disney Princess - Ariel...

Favorite Romantic Fragrances
Happy (almost) Valentine's Day, to those who celebrate! In the spirit of love, I've compiled a few of my favorite "cheapie" romantic fragrances. 💝
Valentine's Day reminds me of chocolate-dipped fruits, musks as sheer as lace, and of course... indulgent, gourmand roses! 🌹 But I also think there's no better way to show yourself some love, than feeling fresh and clean - so I've included some...

Favorite Holiday Gourmands
The weather is beginning to cool off where I live in the US (finally!), and with the holidays coming right up... it's time to bust out some of the most delicious gourmand fragrance profiles!
I've made a list (and "checked it twice" 😉🎅) of my top holiday gourmands. As a bonus, they're all cheapies - so you can use any saved money for gift giving instead.

Battle of the Birthday Scents
I recently celebrated a birthday, and how does a fragrance enthusiast celebrate? By sampling birthday-themed fragrances, of course!
Most are cheapies - and since birthday fragrances don't have to be limited to just cake, I even included a few "unconventional" picks in the roundup.
FAVORITES:
1. "Angel Food | Demeter Fragrance Library / The Library Of Fragrance"

Battle of the Autumn Apples
Fall gourmands are my favorite type of fragrance, and I've been on a quest for the perfect "autumn apple" gourmand as the upcoming season fast approaches.
Some claim to resemble apple cider, candy apple, and even apple pie... but which scents deserve the most recognition, in a hypothetical "battle of the autumn apples"?
Here are 10 apple-forward gourmands I've rounded up, and how they compare (with...
