Comme c'est belle, mon chérie!
Well, this is a very pretty fragrance to say the least. While it's nothing groundbreaking or inventive compared to other fragrances from L'Art & La Matière, it is a gorgeous one, and a very formidable candidate for my quest to find the best rose fragrance. It strikes the perfect balance between fresh, fruity, sweet and floral, and never becomes excessive or jammy like some rose fragrances are known to do. It opens up with a blast of bright pink rose, almost like you're being drenched in a refreshing rosewater. As it settles down the rose becomes a bit powdery and dense, but very clean and composed overall. Fully into the dry down, the fruity notes come forward and create what feels like an almost pillowy pink cloud around the supple rose notes here. It's a very wonderful wearing fragrance that envelops you and makes you feel 'pretty' in a way. Also worth noting is that despite the very 'pink' and fruity feeling of this fragrance, it never feels overly feminine, and actually feels very unisex, so I recommend everyone give this a try regardless of preferences.

This one will rank relatively high in the L'Art & La Matière for me. It is yet another example of how, at times, fragrances need not be inventive or earth-shattering in concept to be excellent pieces of perfumery. This is one that I can see myself enjoying quite a bit, and another that might land itself in my 'full bottle worthy' category. Quite wonderful stuff, and definitely worth a shot for any of the fans of rose out there.

Scandal around Rosi
French Kiss was such a lovely, girly scent. I found it uplifting, playful, a wee bit lipstick-sexy, not too sweet or gourmand, and the rose in it was just a Rosi.
Then someone at Guerlain came up with the idea of making it seem more grown-up and precious, perhaps so that it would fit better into the classy, newly created line, which does cost more.
Rosi was simply exchanged, replaced by the more sublime Nahema Rose and its flippancy was taken away. The result was Rose Cherie, a genteel version of the same theme Similarities to Malle's Lipstick Rose are probably unintentional, but cannot be dismissed.
The opening to Rose Cherie is velvety-rosy, but it's not long before the little raspberries hop back in there and take away the fragrance's ladylikeness, thank god. One nahema is enough in the world. Rose Cherie starts to develop its own character, the almond is strong and the iris also quite recognizable to smell, still underpinned by a sea of rose water.
The performance is great and the durability guerlaintypisch good.
Only Rosi is now no longer so sweet and sweet, but a French Edelkurtisane, and calls herself Rose Cherie....

Hello, pretty lady!
Oh, what I was excited about this new creation from the house of Guerlain!
Rose, almond, raspberries - exactly my Beuteschema. This seems feminine, pink (matching the bottle) and also very delicate. So when the filling from the sharing arrived, I was totally out of the house. I still had to test at the mailbox - and was disappointed at first. In retrospect, I can say: the headache that set in shortly after the test and that I attributed to the fragrance actually announced a summer flu. So the first test can not have taken place under "fair" conditions - and my impression was decisively shaped by my getting sick.

A few days later and the headache behind me, I perceive Rose Chérie already different. The rose petals are lush and dense, yet delicate and not too heavy. A delicious fruity, almost tangy raspberry underpins the nostalgic flowers, which gradually become more powdery and sweet. The almond becomes increasingly dominant, giving the scent an innocent, almost baby-fresh note. Very slightly, I feel reminded of l'instant Magic at this point. A thoroughly beautiful association!
I also find the durability and sillage particularly impressive: for days I can perceive the scent on clothes, even when they are at 2 meters distance in the room. Guerlain has created a really pretty fragrance here. Not particularly individual or groundbreakingly new, but thoroughly timeless and so judiciously composed that the rose splendor doesn't seem too soapy, old-fashioned or campy. Fruit and powder balance and create a veil that exudes well-groomed cheerfulness as well as cuddly softness. For me definitely a wish candidate!

The rose from the garden with candied cherry
First of all, I had no expectations of the fragrance; I have no experience with Guerlain fragrances and no real experience with rose fragrances.

Isn't that exactly the rose I just smelled in the garden?
That was my first thought after spraying it on. You really get a great, realistic and never pungent rose fragrance here at the beginning.
The raspberry is also clearly recognizable at the beginning and harmonizes perfectly with the rose.

Then a cherry note develops. Where does it come from? I have no idea. Maybe from the almond? The cherry I perceive seems to be candied, that's how sweet I perceive it.

There is not much development; this mixture of rose and cherry stays with you for quite a while.
Towards the end, the fragrance becomes slightly creamy due to the almond. However, this doesn't really matter, as the creamy nuance remains very subdued behind the continuing rose-cherry combination.

The longevity and sillage surprised me a little (positively) for a fragrance that consists of these notes.

I wasn't expecting anything and was pleasantly surprised. Nevertheless, I don't think you should spend the money on this fragrance. It's simply too much for a fragrance like this.

Lipstick Vibes
Oh, you beautiful...

It was love at second smell, but an intimate one at that.
The perfume really smells wonderfully of fruity roses. I smell a little raspberry, but more a beautiful cherry (even if none is listed, a dream!).
The whole thing then takes on vibes of old lipsticks, but not nasty ones.
On the contrary, just really really nice.
The fragrance is probably quite linear, there is no progression here in my opinion.

In a nutshell, beautiful fragrance, great longevity and silage. It always works!

A nice fruity, juicy rose. I actually don't find this very powdery.

Smells like windows cleaner with cheap rose (Damask) notes. Not impressed, Guerlain can really do better. Very expensive for such a smell.
