Super sweet, feminine, playful and youthful night bouquet
Florabloom Absolu, created for Guerlain by perfumer Delphine Jelk, opens as a fresh tropical floral bouquet. I’m not a fan of mango in perfumes but it’s just the right amount to tease and intrigued my nose with a fruity coconut tropical vibe, but not for long. The flowers in the heart quickly pull it from a holiday cocktail into the realm of supersweet florals with a noticeably potent tuberose. My nose scrunches for a moment in dislike, but within 2-3 minutes it starts to settle as the sweet honey custard like creaminess from the ylang ylang stops it heading into heady white floral territory.

It’s as it starts to dry down that Florabloom Absolu really shines and becomes a beautiful nighttime bouquet with a hint of the tropical vibes making a reappearance. The sweet yet grasslike umbrella wort adds a trace of green that pulls the fresh moss and from the base. There’s also just enough woodiness in the base to keep the sweetness fresh. I don’t find the patchouli overly noticeable here, in fact, there’s a very slight whiff of soapiness in the dry down that keeps the sweetness clean rather than earthy.

If you’re an incense lover and that note caught your eye, you might find yourself a little disappointed. Could there be a whisper of spicy smokiness in the dry down? I’m not sure. There’s certainly a sensual feel to it but my nose is greedily seeking even I little bit of incense but fails to find it here.

This is super sweet feminine, playful and youthful night bouquet - a fresh, sweet, fruity-floral that leans into gourmand territory with a dry woody base, a hint of honey custard creaminess and a slight sensual tropical edge.

I actually really like this. There’s nothing stand out unique about it, but it’s head turningly nice as there’s a beautiful sweet scent trail from it and it’s lasting on my skin well. So I imagine if I caught a whiff of this on someone it would definitely catch my nose’s attention and I would be asking the person what they were wearing.

But I’m not sure when
I
would wear it. It’s a bit sweet and strong for day wear for me, though never cloying on my skin, and maybe too sweet for a hot summers night and maybe too tropical floral for a winters night out, that is, for present day me. Maybe a bit of the missing spicy smoky incense in the base would sway me with a bit of added sophistication to the sweetness. However, there is a very high probability that 21 year old me would’ve doused myself in this for a night out clubbing. I’m defo going to wear this again on the next girls night out for a second go and some third party opinions.

Tested today at the Nocibé perfumery. I'd been waiting for it for several months, and I finally found it unexpectedly in this small, classic perfumery.

It's a sweet and gourmand fragrance, which is surprising given the name; I was expecting more of a floral scent.

The performance is average, as is the sillage. The scent is common and reminiscent of other fragrances released much earlier, such as Prada Candy or Viktor and Rolf Bonbon.

An ideal fragrance for young high school girls looking for seduction.

Tuberose dances in incense with the rose
A very dense and initially somewhat overwhelming scent, "Girlfriend" Tuberose wraps itself around a red rose, Patchouli swings the incense, it's almost Christmas, and Ylang Ylang whispers I'm still here... maybe we should look for a sunny travel destination and watch the red sun set in the sea, nibbling on a mango and admiring the wonder flowers, realizing in the meantime, hey, you're not so bad after all. The whole thing develops into an exotically tinged sea of flowers. When dosed sparingly, the fragrance has something.

Love at Second Sight
I understand the reviews for this perfume. I will never forget the first sniff of the sample. Basically, I am super "flexible" when it comes to perfume, and I can count on one hand how many times in my life I have smelled a perfume and then reacted defensively, scrunching my face. This is one of those. BUT after testing other scents from the Absolus line, it seemed that my nose had gotten used to the extraordinary scent. So I gave my sample another chance, and what can I say... I never would have thought it, but now I LOVE this perfume! It smells so special to me, conveying security, confidence, and warmth. And you can hardly believe it, but while most people are totally put off by the first sniff, at least as many react positively to the beautiful sillage that this scent brings with it.

I found the regular Florabloom Forte be 100 times better. It's a completely different perfume, so I ecommend trying it in store.

Not a fan, it smells "too much". There's a note I can't stand in this parfume, and I can't put my finger on it.

I’ll admit it here, I really like the slightly trashy character of this scent: tuberose, ylang, mango, and patchouli on speed.

The elegant tuberose really doesn’t need to be boosted to such heaviness. I’m looking for the included headache pill.

Does Delphine Jelk do the house good?
Horrible scent. Screaming flowers in neon pink on faux wood. The worst AA of all time.

Suffocatingly intense plastic mango can be slathered with artificial woods, disgusting resins & plant waste. Sensitivity? Elegance? Not a chance!

Full-bodied Tubi has fallen into thick mango juice and finds leather there. Hard to define, surprisingly heavy for winter, quite a sweet mix.

Very synthetic, piercing scent. The fragrance notes don't harmonize but rather clash with each other. Unfortunately, a FAIL for me.

light rose, light soft smoke, and light mango, not too sweet. Very nice scent that’s not too overpowering.

Oh no, what has happened to the beautiful Florabloom? Synthetic. Sweet. Unharmonious. The EDT is worlds better. Disappointed.
