I always knew Issey Miyake exists but I have not taken any interest in the brand, after smelling their perfumes in the airport or perfumery.

The Pour Homme EDT was very popular in the 90s, that I remember .. but still, it did not connected with me at all.

The new version, with the Vétiver created by Marie Salamagne changed all that .. after I sprayed a from a sample on my wrist and a big WOW followed.

Longevity is very good for this scent and the DNA of the perfume is quite special and reminds me of the 90s, having a calming and familiar effect.

With the amount of perfumes I have at home, a new addition is never a good idea .. but this one here, smells so good that a botte will surely follow.

It's just two-cents synthetic crap

It resembles what it's supposed to resemble, but questionably synthetic. I think it's hard to incorporate these kinds of scents into a perfume that will end up being spritzed on your body, so it's rather a surprise to have a lavender or wood scent to use, but I won't use it.

It's far too light to be used and if it's used extensively, the smell isn't the same anymore.

If it says vetiver on it, then the Leimbacher is testing or buying. I'm easy to see through. And certainly not just me. There's a reason why vetiver is now a household name even for casual perfume fans and why there are so many flankers/releases on the subject. So what does Issey Miyaki make of the trend? Try it, buy it or forget it? The bottle with the wooden cap makes an impression and matches the fragrance head...

Anyone familiar with Issey Miyake men's fragrances will hardly be surprised here. Yuzu fizzes, lemon tingles, a summery green could hardly be more Asian, light and elegant. Ozone and clean, also freshly showered, but much nicer than today's shower gel trend. But the name shouldn't deceive, so everything seems a pleasurable touch darker, woodier and more vetivery. Certainly also a bit more masculine. But I know a lot of women who really like the Miyake men's DNA anyway, even on their own skin, so they will certainly be able to cope with a touch more vetiver and astringency. But don't get me wrong: it's still a Miyake, it could clearly pass as a summer fragrance with other companies. Like an elegant wardrobe drawer full of lemon variations, musk on the airy trail of cherry blossoms, like a celebrity dentist in front of a fresh spring sunrise on Fujijama.

Longevity: 3-5 hours is just about ok.

Conclusion: solid vetiver infusion to the usual Miyake DNA - gives the summery fizz a good portion of wood in front of the noble hut!

Lemon infusion in your favorite sauna

That's the first thought that comes to mind and I can't get rid of it: sauna.

I always want to wear this fragrance when I stroll home, knocked out after training and soaked by the heat of the sweat chamber.
Deepest relaxation and carefreeness envelop the wearer. The woody vetiver is like a cozy hammock and the ginger is the fresh breeze on a summer evening.

Despite its clearly woody nature, the fragrance is very fresh and surprisingly light.
Its citrusy notes, mixed with the sage, almost place it in the gourmand caste,
but its greenish woodiness counteracts this wonderfully and makes this work appear very balanced and wearable for many occasions without compromise.
