a clone or just an alternative for baccarat rouge 540

so basically the smell is so good i would eat it in the opening it is a minty and bubblegum with some cotton candy, after an hour or so the mint fades away a little and the fruity pear note comes out and stays till the end with the cotton candy smell , it is like it you wrap cotton candy around a pear and burn it a little that is how it will smell so good so clean and fresh will make you happy .
and the it is 90 percent similar to baccarat rouge 540 and with the best performance .

So this is what all the fuss is about...

Look, I'll never make enough money to be able to splash on BR540 or indeed any trendy niche perfume of that price class, so this is the closest I'll get and... I'm fine with that.

This fragrance definitely took its sweet time to convince me. The first few times I used it, I only got the sharp hit of alcohol followed by a lingering sweetness. After a few weeks though, whether through maturation or my nose getting more refined or some weird form of Stockholm Syndrome, I've grown to quite like it.

The longevity truly is outstanding, and the note that pervades for hours and hours is pear, melting seamlessly into the sticky sweetness of toffee. I'm sure the ambergis in the base does its part to accentuate that sweetness, but I'm still too much of a novice to really be sure about details like that.

There is a plasticky synthetic feel to this blend which I think is partly due to the saffron note. Real saffron has an intoxicating aroma like nothing else, even the smallest pinch of it when used in the kitchen. The top note here is not at all reminiscent of real saffron, more an approximation, something that when someone tells you to pick out saffron, you know what they mean, but has otherwise little semblance to the actual spice.

Still, it works, and I find myself drawn to Ana Abiyedh Rouge on a regular basis. It's loud and projects to an almost embarrassing degree, so I've been careful with application when at work. At home, however, I'm happy to smell like a caramelised pear risotto all day long.

Baccarat rouge 540 clone

Yep, it's true this is definitely a clone of BR540 and a 10th of the price, has that almost too sweet scent profile with a pine like resin undertone. Lasts and projects for ages just like the original. Great work from Lattafa

Smells like 540 BUT...

So i bought this recently (June 2020) from a seller on Ebay for roughly £15 GBP. Having owned a few cheap frag's from Arabian houses i was hopeful for this one since the comparisons between it and 540 are so close and that is an expensive frag to go buying...
After it arrived i sprayed it a couple of times onto a card, and then a couple more onto my skin... I left it a few minutes but i must say even from application i couldn't really get any significant smell from the bottle. Nothing was being picked up by my nose.
10 minutes later, i tried the card.... nothing (literally smelt of nothing). So i went to my skin, i got the faintest (and i mean faintest) scent of BR540. Considering i'd sprayed it 10 minutes earlier onto fresh clean skin, i am baffled how anyone can say this performs in any way whatsoever. No projection. No sillage. No anything to be honest.

Yes - smell is subjective... but come on... i've honestly had room diffusers more noticeable than this scent. Plus my partner also commented she couldn't smell it unless she got really really close to my skin.
Considering this says its a Parfum concentrate, It's such a shame. The traces that i can detect are 95% original to 540 profile and for the price if this performed this would be an absolute gem to have in your collection.

Maybe its my skin, maybe its the batch (mine says its from Jan 2020), maybe its maybelline?!... who knows.
I've contacted the seller i got this from to check if they've had any similar issues from buyers or not. But from this experience i'd say buying this bottle is a 50/50 gamble, and i'd try and buy from an e-tailer as you may be more able to get credit or a refund if you buy a bottle and find it to be nothing but coloured odourless water.

I just have to get this off my chest.
First time trying it, and it's exactly like Baccarat. Then it disappears. After a shower, it's back and pungent!
Next day, it's quite fruity at the opening, which I didn't get the first time. It is a very realistic and delicious pear note, and BR540 mix. I seem to become anosmic to it, but it might be the heat (29 degrees Celsius). I love it, but it is very elusive and I have to revisit it a couple of times before making my final opinion.
